Holmes 41 Ryle 34

Agreed. Now let's see it for the next 2 weeks, and the Dogs will be fine...

I agree 100%. Holmes has to continue to pound the ball inside to him though. They've been most effective with him down on the blocks and the offense running through him.

From the update thread:

Our old friend ER just text me and said JJ threw it off the backboard for Pittman to flush. Just NASTY.

Uh, not hardly. JJ simply missed the layup as he was going around a defender.

That is funny, though.

Not positive, but pretty sure the scoring went:

Pittman 11

R. Johnson 10

D. Johnson 6

Riley 5

J. Johnson 4

Rice 3

Housely 2

The dunk was quite impressive. He literally came out of nowhere. Great hustle.

How come Boone beats Beechwood by 7 and everyone posts "Good win" and "Good job Rebels". Holmes beats Ryle, who is better than Beechwood, by 7, and people say Holmes needs to step it up or they won't make it out of the ninth region or be a contender for the state title! Whats up with that? I don't think anyone is giving Holmes any credit, unless they blow every team by 20!

Fireman - Thank you very, very, very much. For the good quote!!!

I don't care how good the defense is playing, that has nothing to do with Holmes not being able to score. With all the talent on this team, what is going on with the

them?

Nothing

Exactly, nothing is what the offense is apparently doing.

The bar was set very high for Holmes. They should be commended on only losing two games to this point but they seem to play to the level of their competition.

I agree...just a few days ago after Holmes ran Holy Cross and Beechwood off the floor by 20 everyone was talking about how well they were playing...and now all of a sudden they aren't playing well? :idunno:

I agree. They need to step it up on the offensive end a little more, as they made some "bonehead" mistakes tonight by settling for jumpers when they had the lead, rather than being aggressive but one thing has been constant with Holmes over the last few weeks, and that's defense. Ryle didn't exactly try to run the scoreboard up...they were very patient offensively which is going to lead to low scoring games.

Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships. I'm sure Coach Henley and his staff are pleased with the defensive effort tonight.

You are right that's not the way it happened .
