When is this game going to be played?

Thursday at 8:00pm

If Ryle scores down low, a large if, this game could be fairly close. Lots of things have to go right for Ryle to have a chance, most significantly, a very bad shooting night by the Dawgs and over 50% shooting by the Raiders. Should be an intense defensive battle and I would not be surprised to see tempers flare. Dawgs should pull away late. If a "1 out of 25 chance" upset were to occur, it would be by a razor-thin margin. Most probably, Holmes by 14 would be my best guess. Good luck to both teams.

Keeping their composure may be Holmes' biggest challenge in this game. I agree that it will be very physical. As long as Holmes keeps their focus on playing basketball, they win without too much worry.

In the first meeting between these two, it was Ryle who couldn't keep their composure...FWIW.

This is an interesting matchup because Ryle has the size to rebound with Holmes athletic players. Ryle's guards are not as quick as Holmes, so it will depend on Ahern and McLeish handling the speed of Holmes and not turning the ball over. Ryle was with them in the first game but gave up two big three's early in the fourth that gave Holmes some breathing room. Ryle is not good if they are down late in a game as their offense is mediocre.

First round of the Regional Tournament can provide for some interesting games and upsets. It would not surprise me to see an upset here, but it is unlikely to occur. Holmes pulls away late to win by 8+.

I like Holmes in this game. They are to athletic for Ryle. And lets not forget the last time they played at BOK, they absolutely lit it up from outside in that building.

I'd really like to see the matchups on this one. Can anyone give us who will be guarding who in this matchup? : )

Can't tell you who they'll be matched up against, but Ryle's starting lineup will likely be:

PG Ahern

SG McLeish

SF Coleman

4F Stauffer

C Nichols

That's how they matched up in the first game.

Holmes 58-43. They will play to their oppents level for 3 quarters then blow them away in the fourth.

I hope so. The risk of waiting until the 4th quarter to turn up your game is that every once in a great while your shots don't fall and your opponent's does, or you don't get some calls and your opponent does. While Ryle can indeed be "offensively-challenged" at times, if Holmes lets them stay in the game up to the 4th quarter, they just might pull off the surprise. I don't think it'll happen though because I think Holmes will go into the 4th with a decent lead.

It seems like every game Holmes plays, there are people talking about how every team could pull the upset.

I've seen the same, but they're just hoping. I think Holmes will represent the 9th best, but wouldn't be surprised to see an upset.
