March 3, 200917 yr We lost out back up QB, we lost a starting tackle, and now we lost a near all pro WR. Who have we signed? We are Net -3, correct? We need to sign an RB and another WR in my opinion. Any other true Bengal fans worried? I have been worried ever since the OL seemed to forget how to block in 2006. This team and program have deep systemic problems that stem with the almighty Mike Brown. There will never be any consistency that is of a good nature as long as he is there. I suspect that I will be nearing my retirement when the Bengals again contend. That said: I would like to see some of these issues remedied.

I don't think they're too far from being a contender, if Carson is healthy. Maybe TJ leaving will allow Chad to be the clear-cut star & leader of the WR corps (scary, isn't it?). You know he wants the attention, so let him have it. I like the defense, and with the addition of another linebacker in the 3rd or th round (I hope), it should be exciting. But then again, that'd require a good draft, which is something I've learned NOT to expect.

In their division Baltimore was the highest ranked in total offense at 18th. The Bengals played a lot of games against inept offenses. I don't see this team anywhere near being a contender.

Everyone would have said the samething about the Cardnials too... and the went to the Superbowl.

Actually most publications, and a lot of BGP members had the Cardinals contending last season. Much less of a surpise than say if the Bengals would have made it to the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl.

Also, instead of playing the Cowboys, Giants & Eagles, we play the Bears, Packers & Vikings... One reason that I love the NFL is the parity. I anticipate the Bengals to have a much easier schedule this year than last.
