March 2, 200917 yr Can we really believe this at this point? GT I know has been pretty scathing about Lunardi's accuracy until the last bracket, and I just find it very hard to believe at this point that they'd be in.
March 2, 200917 yr Author Lunardi is pretty good each season. The best news for me is that we're not one of the last four in, either. That means that we are still pretty comfortable if we handle business. The good news is that other bubble teams had bad weekends, as well.
March 2, 200917 yr Louisville a 2-seed Cincy Next Four Out Minnesota First Four Out Isn't next four out and first four out the same thing? I was glad to see he had UK in to. However I think that just shows how big the game is with Florida this week. If we lose to Florida, I think he would just switch us two. Its basically going to be a play in game just like it was last year against Florida to end the season. Except this year we have to play down there and not at home.

GT I know has been pretty scathing about Lunardi's accuracy until the last bracket, and I just find it very hard to believe at this point that they'd be in.While Lunardi is not necessarily a genius, he has the bubble teams narrowed down for us. In looking at the last 4 in and last 4 out, UK's resume is not that much more impressive or less impressive than those listed.
March 2, 200917 yr Isn't next four out and first four out the same thing? First four out (1-4) are the teams closest to getting in. Next four out (5-8) are on the verge, but behind a few teams.
March 2, 200917 yr Here is merely one example of why Lunardi is a hack outside of getting it right on Selection Sunday (something most of us could do if we were getting 6 figures a year and that was your only job). Before UC played WVU they were the last team out. Beat Top 25 RPI WVU and they fall two spots. Get crushed by Cuse and they only fall two more spots. At this point he's guessing the same as everyone else, and not doing a good job of it when you put any of this fodder before selection Sunday...
March 3, 200917 yr Pretty good news considering Lunardi is on his game as far as bracketology goes. Kentucky has had a rough spot in the past week so if they can win a couple to finish the season things are looking pretty good.
March 3, 200917 yr Cats in as a 10-seed, Gators out according to Lunardi  So do they switch if Flordia beats them on Saturday.
March 3, 200917 yr Author So do they switch if Flordia beats them on Saturday. Probably so. Florida is basically a play in game, IMO. However, they can win a few games in the SEC tourney and be fine, even if they lose.
March 3, 200917 yr Probably so. Florida is basically a play in game, IMO. However, they can win a few games in the SEC tourney and be fine, even if they lose. My thing is that if they lose to Flordia they are 3-7 in last 10. That is not good.
March 3, 200917 yr Author My thing is that if they lose to Flordia they are 3-7 in last 10. That is not good. If they lose to Florida, they would be required to win their first two SEC tourney games, IMO. The better plan would be to beat Georgia convincingly and then find a way to win at Florida.

The better plan would be to beat Georgia convincingly and then find a way to win at Florida. I agree. They could lose to Florida and win the first two SEC games. Depends on who they play. With this team nothing will suprise me. They could come out and lose to Georgia and then all bets are off. This is the strangest Kentucky team I have ever seen.
