Beat UGA and win a tournament game. I'm realistic enough to know that the committee is mindful of money as much as merit.

I agree.

Yes at large, but I will take a run in the SEC Tournament.

Just by beating a HORRIBLE Georgia team and beating one bad team in the first round of the SEC tournament wont get us in the NCAA tournament IMO. You got to realize that yeah even though our overall record last year was worst. I believe we still had a lot better of an RPI than we do this year, our strength of schedule is way down from last year, and our last 10 games wont be as good as last year. Our Resume does not look that good at all. We will need to beat both Georgia and Florida IMO and probably win one more game in the SEC tournament to get in.

The Cats are 4-3 in the SEC at home this year? How long has it been since the Cats SEC home record was this bad?

The rest of the country is not producing the same caliber bottom-of-bracket teams this year as last year. That helps UK.

At this point would a trip to the NIT be a bad thing? A reality check may be what our program needs.

I agree with futurecoach. IMO, if we get in, it's off of name only at this point!

We should beat Georgia, at least we better. Then if we do beat Florida at Florida, then I think it would be hard to keep us out. It would be very hard to put either Florida or Tennessee in over us, since we did beat both of them twice. So basically just like last year, the florida game to end the regular season will basically determine if we make it. The only thing different is last year we got to play them at home to end the season, this year we will be there.

Beating UT twice is irrelevant IMO. UT stepped up and played a very touch schedule unlike UK. UT SOS is 2. UK SOS is 73.

UT gets in before UK .

We've had so many chances for reality checks...

Wrong. All things being equal, 2 wins over UT would be huge if it came down to that.

Except all things are far from equal...
