February 28, 200917 yr New England always has a plan that's why they are as good as it gets. They took a nobody and get richer. I think it's a win win IF Brady is healthy. If not then there is a ton of pressure on the backup they drafted I think in the 3rd round. If they can get a guy that didn't have a start since high school ready, take a QB in Brady that was taken late in the draft then I have confidence in them. I thought it would be Piollei's (sp) 1st move and I think it's a great one for KC. Vrabel is old but good for a couple of years of grooming. Thigpen will be a good get for somebody if they let him go.
March 1, 200917 yr KC needs to address their defense, it's been sorry for quite some time. Thigpen didn't do too bad for a rook, 18Tds 12ints, 400 yds on the ground in 11 starts. That's pretty impressive.
March 1, 200917 yr Can't believe the Pats dealth both of these guys for a second round pick... Maybe there's something I'm not seeing, but that seems stupid on the surface. Unless, they wanted to free up money to get Peppers inked ASAP. Still think I'd have taken the #3 overall and swapped down on draft day...

That's pretty impressive. I was somewhat shocked by that too. Then again if Cassel flounders then you may well see the reappearance of Thigpen. All I know is that Thigpen was instrumental in winning my fantasy league this past season.
March 2, 200917 yr There is talk going around that they could have had the 12th pick in the first round if they would have wanted it. It would have been a 3 team deal w/ Cutler going to Tampa, and Cassell going to Denver.
March 2, 200917 yr Good mover for my team the Pats. This will free up room and they can possibly get a younger QB with high potential and train him under Tom Brady. This could be big a couple years down the road in developing a QB for the future for the Franchise. I also like this because it gives Matt Casel a starting QB position that he deserves after the season he had last year.
