March 2, 200917 yr Good mover for my team the Pats. This will free up room and they can possibly get a younger QB with high potential and train him under Tom Brady. This could be big a couple years down the road in developing a QB for the future for the Franchise. I also like this because it gives Matt Casel a starting QB position that he deserves after the season he had last year. The Pats could have easily gotten a 1st round pick out of this deal...I'm not so sure I'd call this a "good" move.

They got what they wanted out of the deal though, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They converted a QB that didn't start a game after high school and an aging defensive player for cap space and a second round pick.
