woodsrider Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Did anyone see this? Thought it was funny. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3924716
mobaar Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I thought it was great. I liked the murmuring from the other reporters when he pulled out the "If these guys covered this stuff, I wouldn't have to do it." I also liked Calhoun's "I make a lot more than that."
Randy Parker Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'm far from a Calhoun fan, but his response was certainly understandable. His $12 million comment was exactly what I was thinking when I first saw it.
Log Mountain Boy Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 While not the classiest thing to do its good to see him be hard on the bonehead reporter.
gametime Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 The guy was looking for a fight and got knocked out...
MountainThunder Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 The guy was looking for a fight and got knocked out... :thumb:
woodsrider Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 The guy was looking for a fight and got knocked out... What did it mean by the guy only had a photo pass? Does that mean he was only suppose to be taking pics?
LRCW Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 What did it mean by the guy only had a photo pass? Does that mean he was only suppose to be taking pics? Not really sure. I used to get photo passes several years ago, and I was always allowed access to the press conferences after the games at both Rupp and Commonwealth. Of course I was always with the newspaper reporter, and I always kept my mouth shut.
Wireman Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I heard about this on the radio over the weekend. This guy is a well-known activist in that area and has been in the news before - actually was arrested not too long ago for something he did at a political event in Washington DC. He is basically a trouble maker and was trying to stir the pot a little for his "cause" - whatever that may be.
gametime Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 What did it mean by the guy only had a photo pass? Does that mean he was only suppose to be taking pics? It means you let the people paid to ask questions speak...
cch5432 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 What was it that he asked about right before Calhoun told him to shut up?
halfback20 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 The guy was looking for a fight and got knocked out... That's pretty much what I was going to say. He came to that press conference looking to stir up some trouble...
woodsrider Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 What was it that he asked about right before Calhoun told him to shut up? He was going to ask him if he thought he should give up any of his salary.
