Ok, we got a little off topic in the last thread. Lets try to stick to the games and the players and less on the coaches.

Highlands ends their regular season this week with 2 tough games at home vs. Beechwood and CC Purple. Their game on Tues night vs. CC is Spirit night and is sure to bring out a huge crowd of students/parents.

Beechwood 8th is coming off of a 47-38 victory over Holmes, should be a good Monday at Highlands.

Summit View's schedule is full...Monday Woodland at home, Tuesday Twenhofel at home (should be a barn burner), Wednesday Blessed Sacrament at home, then Thursday Woodland at their place.

Who does it look like are going to be the number one seeds on each side of the bracket? From sixth grade thru eighth...

My guesses are:

In 8th grade, Holmes and Twenhofel

In 7th grade, Holmes and Turkeyfoot????

In 6th grade, Twenhofel and Highlands (kidding), maybe CC Purple????

I agree with Siemac. Highlands 8th is playing for the 2 seed in the East Division. All they have to do is take care of business this week and beat Beechwood and CC Purple on their home floor for the 2nd time in each situation. If they lose to Beechwood and beat CC Purple they will probably get the 3 seed. I think even if they lose both games they would get the 3 seed but not positive.

Beechwood who lost to Highlands by 12 earlier beat Holmes by 3 and ended up splitting with them. Since Highlands lost to Holmes twice, if Beechwood beats them and splits with Highlands they will get the nod for the 2 seed.

#1 seeds essentially get the bye and the #2 seed basically plays the last place team from each division in the 1st round.

Wow, this is a tough week for SV especially with the tourney starting on Saturday.

Beechwood beat Holmes 47-38 on Saturday. So I'm guessing if they beat Highlands on Monday they get the 1 seed in the East Division.

Correct. If they lose to Highlands on Monday and the Birds take out CC Purple on Tuesday then its a 3 way tie for the 1 seed.

That's not necessarily correct. Division winner is determined by win/loss record in the league, then head to head record, then point differential, then coin toss. Who has Holmes lost to during league play beside Beechwood? Have they lost to Twenhofel? Who has Beechwood lost to? All of these questions who have to be answered prior to seeding.

I'm not sure on Twenhofel schedule this week, I know it's loaded though. I believe they are the only NKY team going down to the state tournament this week.

Actually, if you look at the pool play schedule for KBA, there are two other NKY teams going to state - Grant County and Jones.
