February 25, 200917 yr Any update on the SV and CC game? Summit beat CC by a score of 50-34. The Jags were led by Sampson with 16 and Huesman had 13. All around good game for the Jags, they were up by 24 when the first 5 were pulled. Swanson did a great job running the point and distributing plus chipping in somewhere around 8 pts. Pouncy was all over on D. Jackson got in foul trouble early but contributed big in the 2nd half.

February 25, 200917 yr Highlands 7th over Newport tonight 70-41. That is not a misprint, they scored 70 in a 24 minute game. They actually went scoreless the last 3 minutes of the game. They face the Turkeyfoot/Beechwood winner Thursday night in the semi's.

Holmes will bring it most definitely in the next round so the Jags better play some disciplined basketball. If they zone em I think they win. Look for runouts on missed Bulldog shots cuz they do not get back.

They face the Turkeyfoot/Beechwood winner Thursday night in the semi's. They may be the highest scoring team I have seen at the 7th grade level. They scored 62 when they beat the #1 seed Two Rivers a few weeks ago. The Birds are a scrappy bunch with a nice mix of bigs and good guards. Houliston/A.Buten/Hoge/B.Buten are very strong guards and Roberts/Hope/Hergott can bang the boards. I am quite sure they will be facing a tough Turkeyfoot team in the next round. Good Luck Birds !!!

Keys to winning: Breds must limit Nussbaum and make every shot tough for him... Control the boards and the bench should be a plus for Twenhofel. Jags must break the press of Holmes, limit the run-outs and make shots when open, get back on 'D' is key... Holmes gets a ton of points off fast breaks. February 25, 200917 yr I agree Dadof3. First of all we need to keep it in Independence. Secondly I think these are the two top teams. Both team need to play their best tomorrow and come out wanting and ready to win. Hopefully everyone will come out to watch and support these two teams.
