Defensively you can have Greg Paulus and Jon Scheyer. There is no comparison between those guys and Jodie Meeks. :thumb: QUOTE]

And I don't think I've seen Jodie play much D this season, it is the one area he lacks IMO. What would he do against Ellington when he's hitting, or Steph Curry. Calathes lit him up Tuesday night

He didn't guard all that much. Hes a much better defender than he used to be, but he still isn't as good as he can be. One thing he does do well, though is getting in the passing lane and getting steals.

His work ethic can not be questioned IMO. He works as hard as any player in the country night in and night out. For UK to win the SEC and make some noise in March Pat Pat must be healthy and ready to go; they can live with Meeks having an off night but if Patterson doesn't show up, it is a whole different story.

Yeah I completely disagree. There has been games when he simply hasn't got it done defensively this year. And that is about working hard. The 3 that stick out to me are the UNC game, Ole Miss game, and the SC game. Ole Miss really whooped us on the boards and Patterson was a big part of that.

As far as Patterson not showing up, he didn't do much against Florida. I thought UK even played better without Patterson the other night. Is UK better without him? Definitly not, but they sure played well after he got hurt.

I recall no one making a play against North Carolina this season

UNC is a tough barometer for anyone, they really are a matchup nightmare for everyone.

He didn't guard Calathes...Perry Stevenson, Patrick Patterson, and Josh Harrelson did...

Can we get a recount. Uh oh Calathes fans.

Calathes is on his way to another huge game right now....13 pts, 4 rbs, and 8 asts at the break.....He excels in every aspect, not just scoring.

And winning the games with those huge games. He's had 2 big ones in a row and led his Gators to an 0-2 record in them.

He can't do everything. The Gators have a worse supporting cast than the Cats do.

They brought in the #1 rated recruiting class last season and this one was rated 10th. Isn't Lucas the only defection from those classes?

Where were they ranked #1?

Where were they ranked #1?

The class of Calathes, Parsons, Allen, Lucas and Tyus was the #1 ranked class by Rivals. I don't think I can post the link by rule--I'll PM it to you if you want.
