Derek Smith is tight with Tony Franklin so maybe he might land a job with him. Derek knows his system. Heck he was going around the country and teaching the system to high schools.

We'll have to wait and see. I hope this happens.

He wasn't alone. Former HS Coach Donny Walker has been doing that for a few years. Maybe he will land a job with him.

Typical Franklin. MTSU is in the same conference as Troy, where Franklin was two years ago. I think it shows a lot about Franklin, going back to the same conference as the team/coach (Troy/Blakeny) that really gave Franklin his big break to get back into college coaching.

I would be interested in seeing any comments that Troy's coach might have about Tony Franklin going to Middle Tennessee State.

Your right it does say a lot about Franklin. He would love a chance to get at Troy. I hope Troy runs all over him and gets him out of town like Auburn did. This system that he has doesn't work. He isn't the right guy to run it. He was just a blip on the screen and needs to go back and write another book or sell out again. He goes around and tries to put these systems into high school and makes a ton of money doing that he doesn't need to be in college.

I may get into a little trouble for all that but Coach Franklin and I DO NOT get along. Let's just say we don't see eye to eye. Again this is all one mans opinion.

If you really think he is doing this to get back at Troy than you are wrong. :sssh: But at least we see the background to your propaganda. :puke:

Doesn't work? There are a lot of teams that have proof you're wrong.

But just one man's opinion. :D

It is ok to not like the guy, but come on now. :ohbrother: The system does work, and he teaches it to the finest details.

If he is so great then why can't he stick around anywhere? I will give it to you all that the idea of the system may work but he can not stick through it and can not change. Just not a very good coach. The tough ones are there through thick and thin.
