Will the player that comes in 2nd in the QB competition move to another position and play, or will they strictly remain the 2nd string QB?

The way I see it, if Rister is the starter, I think Farley will remain the back up. If Farley is the starter, I think Rister will be the back up and play WR. Marcus Reed will be a second or third string QB and WR.

I would imagine this depends on who gets the position and who is 2nd. What grade is the other boy pushing Farley for the position

Farley and Rister will both be Juniors. Reed will be a sophomore.

It happens all the time and every where, but most have the common decency to keep the dirty laundry in the laundry room, not in the front yard.

Its just my thoughts form watching both of them play in the past, but you never know until you strap on the gear.

I agree coupon. We went through the same thing my sophomore year. And the QB who was less talented got the job. Mainly because the better QB could be used and accel very well at receiver/running back. And The other QB could not accel anywhere but QB. What happened? The quarterback broke Tim Couch's passing record. And the receiver had well over a thousand yards receiving. Im not saying that would be the same in this case. I'm not picking any sides, I've known the Farley family since I was eight years old. The only team I'm on is Raceland, and I'm sure the coaches will make the right decision.

And, that is exactly why the coaches should be free to make these decisions, and the fans and parents should leave them alone to manage the program.

I asked a simple question about the quarterback situation. You can call it competition if you like, whatever. And I simply was wanting some opinion on the matter. I believe that the coaching staff will make the right decision for the team, never doubted that. And I sure hope that the make those decisions based on performance, and not what a few bygones have to say on a message board.:thumb:

 

 

Seems the only opinions I've received are from the northern end of the county.

If you want us to give our thoughts: the only thoughts that I have on the matter is, either Farley or Rister will be the starter, and I trust the coaching staff to do what puts the team in the best position to win. That might mean that Farley is the starter and Rister is at WR, that might mean Rister is the starter, or that might mean that in different situation we will see different players at QB.

 

Either way, the coaches will do what is right.

 

How about the RB positions, we have about seven fighting for two spots, that is going to be more interesting I think.

 

Or the WR position, we are going to have a bunch of them fighting for three spots.

What position will Brian Caudill play this season. I assume LB on defense. I'm looking forward to watching him play. He's a great kid and a big ole' boy!!

Assuming Barr is as good as advertised, Who do you guys see getting the nod for the other RB spot? P.S. I like how you changed the subject Ram......LOL
