I don't think that I said that there was anything wrong with anyone complimenting your school. I think that it is great that you do.

 

I do think it is funny that you are trying to turn my words into something different ... Which directly to this statement from you:

I am 100% sure that I said NOTHING about Fort Mitchell .... but yet .. you felt the need to throw that in. (Especially when the team from Fort Mitchell doesn't even have 11 coaches to begin with). Not really sure why .... but I could probably guess. If you really want to talk about Fort Mitchell ... (or if I wanted to) I guess we could probably post in the Beechwood thread????)

 

Overall .. as I stated earlier .. there are more schools than you think in 1A who have 11 or more coaches .... and Raceland doesn't have the market cornered in quality or quanity.

 

I don't think Raceland has a corner on the market, but you have to agree that the number of 1A schools with 11 coaches, and many of whom could easily be head coaches, is small.

 

I agree with you Ram and will pitch in and say that I don't think that Raceland has "cornered the market" on quality coaching staffs either. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure that no one else from Raceland said that or that "only Raceland" has a number of very good coaches. All that I gathered from it was some fans giving our coaching staff some well deserved praise.

Of course there are other schools with several quality coaches on staff. That fact has been proven over and over aqain and no one said anything about other staffs not being good or having a number of quality coaches on staff.

There are certainly more places than Raceland as well as there are certainly more places than NKY that play good football and have good coaching staffs.

 

I just don't see a controversy here and fail to see a reason to make something out of a statement that is just not there :idunno:. JMO of course.

I am like others in that we have to get by LCA along with the rest of our district before anyone else enters the discussion. LCA this season imo will be loaded and probably the best team in the state in 1A this season.

I am not trying to say you have a bad staff or whatever. This entire line of posting derives from my post #542. Raceland has a very qualified staff and we are proud of it, period. I hope your school has a staff of 20 and all are head coach material! That way, you have cornered the market on both.:notworthy:

I think it was you who threw NKY under the bus. However, I'll agree that the Rams have a top notch staff. They seem to work well together and I also agree that they get the most out of their talent. I don't think that the Rams will have the dropoff from last season as much as has been outlined to date. They return alot of experience. More importantly these kids expect to win. That's half the battle.

I know that Raceland can't do anything about their district games, but you have to really respect them for beefing up the rest of their schedule. As far as the out-of-district schedule goes, they face a pretty good challenge most every week now. That should help prepare them for LCA when the time comes...although I think LCA would probably demolish Ashland (what I think is the best team on Raceland's schedule outside of their district) as well this year.

I agree. It was a good game. It really appeared as if Raceland had it locked up. LCA's QB took over and won it, though. I hope some of the teams in our area can provide November excitement like that once again...and I especially hope some of them get home field advantage like Raceland did last year. It makes it much more convenient to see games like that.

I agree J.S., although I honestly do not look for this season to be as strong as last I think the Rams will be better than some people are thinking and imo your last statemnt says alot............Raceland players expect to win. :thumb:

I think Raceland will be the favorites in every game on their schedule except for Ashland and Lexington Christian. What do you guys think?
