You are right oldrambler, last years success has nothing to do with this years team. They can not ride the coattails of the 2008 team, they have to make a name for themselves. And the only way to do that is win games on their own. There have been a lot of talented teams in the state that underachieved, to be a good team, you have to win, that is the only measuring stick for success.

 

This team has a quality, difficult schedule, to be good they have to go out get quality wins against this schedule. And they will be tested early and often. They have to win the games they are expected to win, and they have to win some games they are not expected to win. That will dictate the quality of the team.

Doc, you could very well be right. This team has talent and potential but we still need to see how they step up in taking the lead role instead of coming in when the game is basically decided before we crown them a good team.

I think they possibly could be a good team but that remains to be seen. Hopefully they will work like previous teams before them worked and step it up to a leaders role.

Old Ram is back!!!! Had a little time off. Ready for some football. I think I missed pages 5 to 13. Interesting stuff. Loved the entire Russell 27 thing Doc. I think I want to give a shout out to this years seniors. I know our quarterbacks are not seniors however alot has been said about having an outstanding junior class and that is true but our senior class has been with that class of 2006 beating LCA for on their field. No offense Bluto. Then have success building up from there with Grizzle, Forrest, Thompson, Rogers, Beach, Stephens, etc.. to hand over to Denton, Carver Logan, Chinn, etc... They dont want to let those boys down. They have watched them from the sidelines got out there and gave those boys a rest knowing they better keep up the standards. They want nothing more than to please their coaches, past ram players, their teammates, ramland, and improve everyday their personal best. Good luck seniors big shoes to fill but as we say you are and will always be a "Band of Brothers" on that field.

Good to see you back Oldram, and you are right, the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are all important, but we will need that senior leadership, that can not be replaced. Those seniors have been there, and should be ready to go back.

Awesome pics!!! Its good to be back. Those pics right there are who we are posting for. This is our team now I challenge all our Ram fans to get behind them and post positive messages and stay positive all season long. The boys do read these and it is so important to stay behind them in the stands and on the BGP. When you see a player, take the time to go up and ask them how are they doing and to keep up the hard work. They need our support!!!!!!!!

^Thanks for posting them, Ram. I am so psyched about this season. Last year was about expectations and the pressure to run the table. This year is about finding out what we have and how they respond to the pressure. High school football, isn't it great!!!!!?
