Which elicited two questions from me - what's cruising, and what's a Bridge Boy.

 

:laugh: Cruising was what we all did, driving round an round the Bluegrass and McDonalds lots. We were all sure that we were sooooooo cool, :lol:. Today's gas prices would put a serious damper on that activity tough. Gas was probably a little over one dollar a gallon in the mid 70's, I'm not sure.

 

As for the Bridge Boy.....I have no idea:eek:, you probably would have to check with a Lewis Co. or Tollesboro H.S. alum for that answer.

With the losses of Denton, Carver, Logan, Boyles, etc. I doubt that Maynard's class of GCHS area "transfers" will continue to provide Raceland the man power it needs to compete with Ashland and Russell. It was a good ride fellows welcome back to the bottom of the region.

I'm from McKell County and we cruised Portsmouth and went to C.A.Y dances at Portsmouth Notre Dame. Our green cards were not accepted this far East.:lol:

Well 32 days until meet the rams! I believe I've been in hibernation long enough. Hope everyone hasn't forgot about me. Glad to see we still have the posters looking forward to non district games wayyyyy down the road!

Any news on the travel plans for passing camp July 10-12? I know it is at Campbellsville University but I didn't know how many we had going and how they were getting there.

 

I just talked to one of the parents from Raceland and they told me that they will be leaving friday morning around 6:00am and will coming back saturday sometime time to be determined on how the camp goes.

I am so glad the dead period ends today! The boys leave at 6am tomorrow for the FCA passing camp at Campbellsville University. Good luck and safe travel mercies for all that go.

Anyone have a son that is going to the skills camp next Monday thru Wednesday? It is for 1-8 grades.
