February 2, 200917 yr Congrats to the Steelers! But can someone tell me why the Cardinals were throwing it on 1st and goal on the one yard line, (the play that got returned 100 yards), why in the world didn't they try to run it in? That was horrible offense. My guess is, that the Steelers have the number one defense in football, and they had 10 guys in the box, so the Cardials were trying to throw on a running down to catch the Steelers in an all out blitz. But, the Cardials did not give Dick enough credit and he dropped some of the would be blitzers into pass coverage and picked it off. Just a guess.:idunno:
February 2, 200917 yr Author It was actually the 2 and there were 18 seconds left. Did AZ have timeouts left?Nope

February 2, 200917 yr He still had the football. Usually a ref comes to get the ball. And he did it well after the officials signaled TD. Makes AZ next possession a little more intiguing had they simply made the correct call. Don't get me wrong here. AZ lost because they let Pitt drive the length of field for a winning TD. Officiating had nothing to do with that. I get that. Unfortunately the stripes cast a shadow on these games with their incompetence. The league really needs to do something about it. Since the play was being immediately reviewed the official did not come for the ball, no way of knowing how to spot it yet.
February 2, 200917 yr Since the play was being immediately reviewed the official did not come for the ball, no way of knowing how to spot it yet. Uh there's only two possibilities on the spot. Holmes did use the ball as a prop, and it wasn't called. That is fact. Why it wasn't called is speculation. Hard to believe they all missed it? If they did, it just proves my point as to how incompetent these guys are.
February 2, 200917 yr If anyone recorded this game, watch the second half. Arizona used four timeouts. One with 8:22 left, to prevent a delay of game call. One after second down rush, Pitt just squeezing it out of the endzone, right before the safety. They used 2 during the final drive attempt. I was reviewing the game to examine all questionable calls mentioned and noticed this and double checked it. Really? Amazing if thats true.:thumb:
February 2, 200917 yr The announcers got it wrong. After checking it the second time before posting, I left it on pause and it continued playing after a bit. They later corrected themselves and stated Pitt took the first time out.
February 2, 200917 yr My 61st reason to hate the Pittsburgh Cheaters. Any true Pittsburgh fan would also say that Harrison should have been ejected.

February 3, 200917 yr Ha I get soo many good laughs reading these pages, if I'm ever having a bad day I know where to come :thumb:. People get over it , we won and should have, we were the better team. Stop making a bunch of excuses because you're upset the Steelers come thru once again and have proven they are the tops, orginization wise, in the NFL. I understand everyones hate for the Steelers, but dont be jealous the Steelers and I both have a 6-pack .
