Why in the name of all that is good in this world did you have to go and do that?smiley-gag-green.gif

Bad Company with Paul Rogers may be the best concert I've ever saw! :ylsuper:

Lead singer for Free also, if memory serves.

I would say "Stairway to Heaven" (Zeppelin) would have to be near the top of any list. I would add "More Than a Feeling" (Boston) to the others mentioned.

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

Imagine - John Lennon

Hotel California - The Eagles

What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Dream On - Aerosmith

I'll go with Bohemian Rhapsody

If the thread were about the one rock song that would make aliens want to destroy the earth, then I'd say any song by Lynard Skynard.......:puke:

You're kidding me! You don't like Lynyrd Skynyrd? How can anyone not like Skynyrd? :idunno:

Though I respect their longevity and success, I've just never liked their music.

Is it just the whole Southern Rock thing, or them in particular?

Great Q actually. It's the whole Southern Rock thing, actually. Don't like Molly Hatchet, Allman Brothers, etc etc either. I realize I'm a bit of a study in inconsistency since my favorite artist (Petty) has roots in southern rock and is also a big fan of Lynard Skynard, but the southern rock genre just has never clicked for me.

Gotcha. I can understand that, not every form of Rock is for everyone. :thumb:

Go rent Dazed and Confused and choose any song from the movie.:thumb:

That's right but that is a song for all the ages. Remember Michael Keeton & Henry Winkler in the movie night shift. Keeton has the windows tinted in his car pulls up next to cops flipping them off and sorts while that song was playing. Funny stuff. A true classic !!

Outstanding movie.

I only read the opening thread by Clyde.....Stairway. It was also voted #1 of the 70s by a lot of groups, but can't think of any.
