whodey1212 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 How has he been playing this year?? Does anybody have his PPG, Reb, etc? For the people that have seen him, how good will he be next year at UK?
gametime Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I haven't seen him this season, but have seen enough of him on the AAU circuit to know he's going to be VERY good over his 4 years at UK. Plays very hard, and has a great basketball IQ...
Clyde Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I haven't seen him this season, but have seen enough of him on the AAU circuit to know he's going to be VERY good over his 4 years at UK. Plays very hard, and has a great basketball IQ... I saw his stat line the other day and it was filled. 28.4 ppg 12.4 boards 2.3 assists 2.4 steals 2.6 blocks

Clyde Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Not too shabby at all... He's not on a great team. 8-10.
gchs_uk9 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 He's not on a great team. 8-10. I saw him at the Catholic tournament and Lexington and I was very impressed with him as a teammate. He's obviously much better than the other guys on his team, but he works hard to get them the ball in situations where they can score. He didn't seem to force the issue and played very well within the offense. It was refreshing to see and certainly that type of attitude will do him well in college.
gametime Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 He's not on a great team. 8-10. And is the focus of every opponent from the tip to the final buzzer...
16thBBall Fan Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 And is the focus of every opponent from the tip to the final buzzer... That makes those stats even more impressive. He does not have other good players like some teams to keep people from focusing completely.
bigmarc78 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 And is the focus of every opponent from the tip to the final buzzer... Agreed 110%
RowdyRooster Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Does he still guard the other teams #5 option on defense? I guess they are trying to save him for offense
NEERFAN Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 The Herald Leader's Mike Fields wrote an interesting article about Hood. He notes some very good statistics about the Mr. Basketball winners from the past. http://www.kentucky.com/289/story/668579.html
westsider Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Hood is an excellent high school player. Madisonville's record is in no way a reflection of his performance, but more a reflection on the talent of his teammates. I don't see Hood as a star at UK, but more of a contributor that can help the stars win games ... much the same way I feel about Darius Miller.
Baseballguy Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Here's a pretty good site that gives info on all UK recruits. Hood has some crazy good numbers. http://www.kentucky.com/822
letabrotherspeak Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 He's not on a great team. 8-10. Madisonville is not very good at all. Hood has to carry them every single night and against opposing teams that gear solely to stop him. He will be a nice player over the next few years at UK.
NKU20 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 He's a very good player that UK will have to put some weight on to prepare him for the SEC physical play. Can see a possible red shirt for him his freshman year.
