How is Franklin County not listed here? They are 13-3 overall and 12-1 in the state with their only loss coming against Holmes on the road without 2 key players. They have a victory over #9 Mason County on a neutral court, and have played a pretty good schedule. The schedule does get really tough over the next few weeks, but to this point their resume is pretty solid.

I think we can all agree that no remembers polls just trips to Rupp! I played on a team that was ranked #1 for a good part of the year only to lose in the region. I have seen two other teams that weren't nearly as good as we were be inducted into my schools hall of fame, but they won the region. Unfortunately for some and fortunately for others, basketball often comes down to one game. That's why we love it!!! Polls are conversations - that's it.

IMHO, Holmes not being at #1 makes this poll invalid. Elliott, Scott, and others have really nice teams, but Holmes has just seemed to be a little better than everyone else. I guess we'll see at Rupp.

Holms just has not beat (or in some peoples opinion) not run up the score as much as Scott or Elliott or played a tougher schedule where it was not as easy to beat people as bad as Elliott and Scott has. That is why you can not put much stock in this poll. The only poll that counts is the one that will be taken on Sat. night March 21 around 10:00 pm. This doeas make for some fun discussions or arguments.

Questionables in the ratings:

 

North Hardin - 7 losses and not that tough a schedule

 

Seneca - 8 losses all to high quality teams but at some point you need to win one of those. There are a lot of teams that can play tough teams and lose them all.

I would really like to know what the main factors in this poll are. Tates Creek at 9-7 makes it in over Franklin County? They have played a tougher schedule at this point but with 7 in state losses vs. only 1 I don't see how they get the nod.

Good to see Highlands make this list. Holmes has beat 5 teams on that list. Also beat a very good Franklin Co. who IMO should make any top 25 list in the state. Tates Creek should not be in the top 25.
