I haven't personally seen Corbin but do you guys feel that they are that much better than Franklin County or Anderson County?

IMO they are good enough and deep enough to play with any team in Kentucky and with a little luck, who knows?

I am no doubt an avid Elliott out of town supporter. But what gets me is the opinion of some on here who think that a few teams are untouchable and they are #1 and everybody else is well behind that. Anybody can go down on a given night and by the most unlikely opponent. To the Holmes supporters--You should be #1 in my opinion. That is honest humility believe you me coming from my fingers. Notice I didn't say you couldn't be beat. Your strength of schedule coupled with quality wins gives you the right to say we are #1 (right now). Doesn't automatically write anyone in on Saturday night in Rupp.

 

Bible says, "Pride comes before a fall". We would all do good to remember that including us Elliott folks. Also good to remember that anytime you point a finger you have 4 more pointing back at yourself that are more dangerous than the one pointing the other way.

No, not saying that, but after all too, I don't think any Kentucky team is going to have to beat Myrtle Beach or any other out of state team to get to or win the boys state championship.

 

And I'm just saying those out of state teams compare pretty well to some of the better teams in Kentucky and those wins should not be discounted when determining rankings.:irked:

Corbin is a very good team and a very good program, but I don't think they are that much better than FC or AC. Of course we will probably never find out. I think both would be good match ups.

The problem is that we don't really know how good those teams are. Just because a team has some nice athletes doesn't mean they're necessarily a high-quality basketball team.

I believe teams are generally more impressive in person than seeing them on a tv myself.

I will say this. If things shake out like they should on paper and Elliott plays Shelby Valley in the semis and beats them and then turns around and beats Hazard in the finals and wins the All A then I will be impressed because that is 2 top 20 teams in Ky IMO. With Hazard for whatever reason, they seem to be playing better without Campbell.

is that really his system? I dont follow the high school game as closely anymore but didn't Clay use to do an actually ranking instead of ratings?
