MJAlltheWay24
I am not sure that it is the decision that I would make, but glad to hear that he wants to increase his education.
00Rocket28
Can he be drafted next year if he wants to? Or you guys think he's done with ball?
ScarHeel
Can he be drafted next year if he wants to? Or you guys think he's done with ball? Rolle, projected to be an early round pick, said he plans to enter the 2010 NFL draft.
00Rocket28
Hopefully he stays in shape while he's over there!
BaseballIsLife
I would think his stock will drop-off some since he essentially is taking a year off of football (although I'm sure he will continue to workout and keep in shape).
halfback20
Not the choice I would have made either...but if it is what he wants to do it's what he wants to do.
swamprat
I have a feeling that a Rhodes Scholar would be fully aware of what the benefits and draw backs there would be to studying at Oxford instead of entering the NFL draft this year. Sounds to me like he has his priorities straight. Good for him.

BaseballIsLife
It seems like Rolle seems to be molded somewhat like Tebow in that we may be seem like an easy/obvious decision to us, but a more complicated and alot deeper than what seems to be at the surface to them. I wish him the best of luck!

Sounds to me like he has his priorities straight. Good for him. Saying he has his priorities straight is an intersting comment. If he was a high school athlete, then I would agree wholeheartedly; however, Rolle has the opportunity to make millions of dollars next year and be able to support himself and his family for the rest of his life with the stroke of a pen. I don't fault him for going to Oxford. Undoubtedly, that is a great opportunity and the choice is his to make. He's worked hard to get where he's at, and he should be the one making this choice...which he is. I just don't know that I'd say that this shows that he has his priorities straight. After all, he's already going to have a college degree...

I like what Rolle is doing, and if given the oppurtunity to study at Oxford, Id do it too. There are probably less people that study at Oxford then there are people who play in the NFL. Rolle will probably accomplish more with his mind then most NFL players accomplish with their body.
RowdyRedRam
He will lose money but not a chance to participate in the NFL. Look at every roster and you will find undrafted free agents and 7th round draft picks all over the place. Someone will be happy to give him a try when he comes back. It just kills me how people think the dollars are more important than a once in a lifetime educational opportunity.

I admire this young man for making a very difficult choice.
