I thought the Highlands student section made a strong showing. They were loud and rocking throughout the game. The colonel crazies were a bit more vocal and organized but Highlands held their own in the stands. (They didn't do so bad on the court either.) It was a fun game to attend.

Doesn't look very good at this point. If he's back by February and playing atleast 10 mins a game, the Colonel faithful would be VERY pleased.

Erroneous. The administration has nothing to do with attendance, but everything to do with cheers. Highland's student section can't say anything without the principal telling them to stop.

There is no need to argue whether the students are showing up for the games or not and supporting their team. Plenty of students support Highlands its just kids these days have so much going on with other activaties, that maybe they dont have the time to show up for game. If they didnt support the teams than Highlands wouldnt continually be fired up and motivated to win big games like this.

He was the best. He didn't care about anything we said.

Highlands is the better team, I don't think I said they weren't. They just are not 16 points better. CovCath imploded, which they've been known to do in the third and fourth quarters. The guard play just went down hill.

 

Unfortunately CC is that bad,seen them a couple of times. Plus CC record shows it. Not the Colonels N Ky is used to!

I agree that the team imploded, but I do not think it is fair to place all the blame on the guards. At the time of the 'implosion' Highlands was not pressing and Cov Cath was getting the ball into the front court. Bad shot selection and no defense were and are as much to blame for the implosion in my mind, well that and bad passes all the way around, not just by the guards. Look at the number of assist the team has? They only have one player who has more assist than turnovers. Too many guys trying to handle the ball too much in places they shouldn't. The other thing that really hurts the team is they simply can not score. They miss too many lay-ups and put backs. Hopefully the new coach (assistant) will be able to help them out there.

I don't remember too many good feeds. I'm a Maschinot fan, lol don't get me wrong. Tonight wasn't his night. He did not play well. He needs to learn that passing on the JV level is totally different at the varsity level. Those one handed push passes don't work, and when you do a pass it has to have something on it.

 

Agree that he had a bad nite. The rest of the games overall though seems to be doing a pretty good job. For his size the rebound number is the one that surprises me most.
