The margin had more to do with CovCath imploding then Highlands being 16 points better. Highlands is a good ball team, but CovCath was in this and basically handed it away.

 

I wasn't at the game, so you'd know more than me, and I'd probably agree with you but didn't the same happen in the first match up when Highlands beat them by 17? I'm thinking it has to do with Highlands just being the better team.

They just kept giving up big plays off of dumb turnovers and terrible shots.

 

Highlands 3-2 zone seemed to give Cov Cath a lot of trouble, so they just kept trying to shoot over it, which did not work well at all.

Yea thats true. They panicked pretty quickly once they got down.

 

They seemed to play with the mindset that they knew they were down and they had to get it all back at once. They would have played much better down the stretch if they would have kept their poise and played their game.

I agree completely, they had plenty of time. Oh well, what's done is done lol. On to Beechwood on Friday night. Hopefully everyone is healthy and they all play well.

Kowolonek just isn't a go to scorer. I think that's why it seems so quiet. As someone else mentioned he is always in the right place at the right time, and moves well without the ball. He is pretty good at penetrating as well, but just not a go to guy. I think he could develop into that role though.

First congrats to Highlands, they played well, when they had to....

 

Until (if ever) Stover get back in, your going to have that panic mode coming in all to often! Not only do you miss Shover abiltity on the floor but also his leadership and senior smarts!

Lets see, Isler in and out of the john, Shover, Pauly, Klein and lord know who else was sick. I have never seen a year with so....many kids getting sick, and in the case of Shover, Pauly and Klein not just a little sick either.

 

At this point, I just hope these three youn men are healthy enough to get on with their every day lives....

 

BTW, in all my years I don't ever remember four soph playing at the same time, unless it was in a blowout for CovCath. Indeed a strange year at CovCath.
