I personally think Holmes or Scott Co would have beat them though. EC SHOULD have beat them had they not had an off night shooting. KY basketball is much more disciplined when compared to other states. I also don't think Cedar Hill would have been able to exploit Holmes or Scott Co down low, the way they did EC.

Elliott County would have beaten them if they were all healthy and playing anywhere close to normal. :thumb:

It really didn't have anything to do with it. I watched the game very closely. Elliott had plenty of open shots - more than enough to win the game. Its hard to beat a nationally ranked team shooting 4-30 from the 3-point line.

Yes it is my opinion, but the KY teams will actually be able to get into the KY top 25, I don't think Southside is going to be able to make the KY high school top 25 if I remember correctly, and I do beleive you have to beat Kentucky teams to win the State Tournament if i'm corect.

I have watched basketball on all levels for 30+ years. Had a stint at coaching, reffing, etc. I know the sport. The answer to the highlighted is YES! I watched All of the so called top five in Ky more than once this season. I watched all the teams Elliott played in the BBC more than once and they were all on the level of top ten in Ky and a couple would be in top five if not number one.

Myrtle Beach is 4-6 ... none of their wins have come over a team with a winning record. You're telling us that they are a top 10-level team in Kentucky?

I have watched all the teams play more than once and formed my opinon

 

that there was not a CLEAR CUT # 1. I am not saying they are not a great team I am saying they are not CLEAR CUT as you put it. Bryan Station can attest to that. The two are 1-1 regardless of margin. They could play again and BS might win by 18 who knows. Elliott has also beat some teams in the caliber of Holmes and BS. They were not Ky teams but so what...they were very good and sizable and athletic and had signed D1 players etc. etc.

He said all of the teams that Elliott beat were top-10 level teams ... I think it's clear that Myrtle Beach isn't.

Eta, there is no firm explanation of why Elliot should be ahead of Holmes because there is none, plain and simple, Holmes is the best right now or atleast until they are beaten again or if they play Elliot and lose, and until any of those happen, they are the best.
