I hear that the guys are looking good at Spring practice!!!

I think Harlan Co. will have two of the best players in the mountains. TJ Green 6'0 190 RB/LB. I would like to see him one season just @ the TB spot. He has played everything from FB to QB, but has never got the full load of carries @ TB. I think that is the only reason he is not mentioned when you talk about tops in the mountains @ TB for 09. Also, you have James Ball 6'0 275 OL/DL. I think the sky is the limit for this kid with his speed for his size. I look for him to be one of the top players up front in the mountain area.

I think TJ will get his chance this year to play the whole year at TB. I'm excited about it. I agree we will hear his name a lot if he gets the playing time.

The team got a little taste of success this past season and I believe they are hungry for it this year. I'm amazed at how physically bigger these kids have gotten from the weight program this winter. I think that could be one of the best 1-2 combinations on the defensive line we've seen around here in a long time. They both have good enough size and strength and speed to play on the next level.

I hear Larry Williamson looks pretty comfortable at QB behind a real nice o-line.

The big question for me will be the void left by Roberts FB/MLB. He played with great heart on both sides of the ball.

I could see the Burgan kid filling in nicely he has that LB/FB mentality. Tucker Lewis a freshman may also play a big role in filling that void!

Yes someone will step up. I believe this is one of the biggest advantages of the consolidation and a big team. There will always be someone there that can step in. That's good motivation to work harder because if you don't someone else will.

 

Did you ever see the King of the Hill episode where Bobby made the track team?

Many people don't understand the principles of that defense and underestimate Polson's value. He will be missed more than most know.

I am not trying to be a jerk or anything but it just seemed like we gave up alot of yards and points throughout the year. It was if we were trying to out score other teams to win. I really hope that we can adjust and fix that problem this year. Go Black Bears

From what I seen...The D-line Is going to take out the O-lines legs...Leaving the Backers and Backs, 1vs1....If the o-line beats the D-line, Chances of taking It to the house Is increased by 25%..

It isn't designed to give up points, however, the players now have a year under their belt to understand it and execute it better. The players were all over the offense last year but didn't make the tackle. The D-Line isn't always cutting the O-Lines legs, it is about matchups. It is a pressuring defense that makes the opposition win with the pass. More experience at the DB will help next year as well.
