Don't know if it's just me or not, but looking at the pictures above does it seem that the filed may be in a flood plain?

 

That picture was taken sometime in February after heavy rains and snow had melted off the mountains. I doubt it get any higher than that. It was flowing very fast that particular day.

We need to find something that makes a sound like the fireworks at Letcher Central. We don't really want to copy something someone else is doing, especially cannons,no cannons if someone puts a cannon over there I will push it in the river!!! I'm guessing our train horn will be pretty loud over there!!! It would be great if some live bears starting hanging around the area!

I agree cannons are over rated and overused at this point.

It would've been awesome to have a closed in sanctuary for a black bear in front of the stadium, much like LSU does with their Bengal Tiger, unfortunatley I heard the school bear was shot last week, that was a record catch in Kentucky.

A very nice lady that lives close to the site has already said, "Please no Canon!" :lol: There has been Black Bears seen in that area along with plenty of deer, turkey, and coyotes. I however do NOT want the bears running around there. It's a lot different seeing one in a zoo and then finding one in your back yard. They are quite intimidating. Hopefuly our football team will have the same affect on their opponents.

The newpaper said that bear was 500 pounds+:scared:....DANG I SAY!!!

If the stadium is done right and our boys get as good as we know they will that walk across the bridge should be intimidating enough, but I like the idea of a real bear, I wonder if we could find some one wrestle it at halftime????

I think the administrators could really make a living by charging admission into the school and seeing the grounds. It is really that nice. Best facilities in the state of Kentucky as far as high school is concerned.

I agree, I think they could build the athletic facilities right now, however, they would be marginal. Wait another year and the money may be there for the best stadium in Kentucky.
