December 23, 200817 yr I'm off all week . In fact I've been off all week for almost 5 years now since I retired !! I'll take my wife to work though .:jump::jump:
December 24, 200817 yr Working today. 12/24 is a country lawyer's busiest day of the year. Everyone else is off and miserable, and they want to talk to their lawyer. Joy to the world.
December 24, 200817 yr Half a day tomorrow, then off until Monday. :thumb::thumb: Must be the industry...
December 24, 200817 yr Am here until 2pm today, not sure why because everywhere I try to call out too is closed for the holiday!! Not getting too much done...
December 24, 200817 yr Off at 1 tomorrow. Why do people need to come to the bank on X-Mas eve? I agree, my bank is the same way, we work until 1 pm today and off tomorrow and full day Friday.
December 25, 200817 yr I agree, my bank is the same way, we work until 1 pm today and off tomorrow and full day Friday. We were really busy too. :irked:
December 25, 200817 yr I've been off since 12/16 and go back on 1/5. I work for a railroad and this is the longest I've been off since I was in college. I'm not sure what to do with myself.
December 25, 200817 yr Why would anyone complain about being layed off for Christmas, you get to draw unemployment and do nothing for a month in the most stressed out month of the year. If that bothers those factory workers, etc,. get a job in retail or fast food. Everyone that I know that is laid off is happy and relaxed, drawing a check and enjoying things. This country is far from the grim news that you hear about day after day, year after year. Retail, banks, etc. doing just fine. To watch the news, everything will be closing, just like gas was supposed to be going over 5 dollars a gallon and never coming down again, give me a break. Bah-humbug
December 25, 200817 yr I worked Christmas Eve from 6am to 4pm then picked up some overtime on Christmas at 11pm to 7am. I am hoping for a slow night tonight too.
December 25, 200817 yr I decided I would go in and work a few hours this afternoon. Should be laid back. Family things were done yesterday and this morning. Might as well make a little money.
December 25, 200817 yr School sucks, until you've gone long enough to be your own boss, then if you gripe about working the day after Christmas, they may have to put you in one of those rubber rooms wearing one of the white jackets with the arms folded!!! So, no, I'm not working tomorrow.
