Congrats to all of the boys who got chosen. No kids from Campbell and Kenton counties? Seems strange to me when half of the state championship participants come from these two counties...:irked::irked:

Since when is there a site or organization that ranks kids in the 7th and 8th grades for football. Could someone please post a link to one of these sites?

The link above takes you to the site. The are not ranking kids like what you get for HS. It is allowing MS age kids get a chance at something special. There was paperwork and a tape needed to be sent in. Players then are selected from there. Ray Lewis's son is one of the players selected.

 

As far as kids from Kenton and Campbell co goes. Those to counties play in a bubble. They do not branch out into the state and have made the choice not to be apart of the organization of MS football here in the state. So the lack of those areas being represented is due to their coaches. You also have to remember MS football is different then HS. There are schools/areas that are very good on the MS level that are not HS state powers

You ready for euchre yet? Troy and Henry are chomping at the bit. Troy's got a euchre Jones so bad that he came up to my Mom and Dad's last Thursday and got a taste of "full contact euchre" with Bob and Marion (doubt he'll do that again though).

One thing I don't think I've even seen mentioned about Austin is the kid's desire to keep the ball moving forward. He never goes down easy - never. A couple times this year I saw defenders slack off because they assumed he was going out of bounds (where his momentum was taking him), but he cut or spun back inward & picked up another 5 or 10. And when tacklers do get a good shot at him, he keeps the wheels spinning and scraps for those few extra yards.

What does everyone think of "FBU"? I know it is expensive, but is it worth it?

His motor never stops running and that is his best quality IMO. You can take all the natural talent and throw it out the window alot of times, if you have a kid who just goes 110% on every play it is special.

Heard from Texas tonight that a kid benched 185, uuuh 55 times! WOW!!!:scared:
