Best wishes from Oldham County. I've broadcast a few games at Highlands and have heard the cannon many times (sometimes, FAR TOO MANY times! ) Here's hoping Mr. Roller's recovery is speedy, and that - if the cannon returns next year - that he's back and busy with the cannon crew.

Steve had another surgery today and all went very well. Hope he will be back posting on the preps soon but not before some of the meds wear off, because that could be a little scary.:eek::lol::lol:

 

Love ya Steve and can't wait to hear from ya. If everything goes well after today, it could be the best Christmas present ever. Take care.

Steve is one of a kind,that's for sure. Every time I visit him ,the first thing he says to me is "How are you doing?" I tell him "that is my question to ask you". No matter how much pain he is in,or how uncomfortable he is,he always tries to entertain his visitors.He always tries to stay awake,(no matter how much pain medicine he is on) to talk to his visitors.He has lots of Highlands football videos to watch,lots of highlite videos of Brandon,and if thats not enough entertainment,he has hunting videos. I guess what I'm try to say is ,he is the most unselfish person that I have ever known.Please keep Steve in your prayers ,as he is going to be through heck while he is recovering from all of these surguries. Our prayers are with you Steve,and with your family too.

I love reading this thread because it makes me want to get to know Steve better. The guy has an unbelieable accident and 6 hours later is joking with the guys. Everyone I have talked to just raves about Steve and his sense of humor but even more about how great of a man and father he is. Best of luck Steve and quick recovery to ya.
