Same team you got this year split with Rose Hill with Jackson and Euton last year. Now they're with Guyn and Pares and the rest. Again, nothing wrong with supporting your team, and I commend all of you Elliott folks doing just that, but please!

 

Thank you Don King, I mean these guys can't be serious. I am gonna pray and hope for a Scott County vs. Elliot County match-up in the State Tournament and when Scott County wins by more than 20 we will see who is posting.

EC had a very bad shooting night in that first loss to Rose Hill, only 20% or so I believe.

Both teams were shooting well in the 16 Region Tourny and EC put it on them.

So what's so great about Scott Co.? Both time's I've seen them they were not that impressive. Not that EC is on every given night, but some of you guy's make it sound like SC is the early 90's version of the Chicago Bulls with Jordan. Euton isn't that good imo.

 

Oh well, I bet your in for a surprise should they meet up come tourney time.

Nope, they tried to trap Jackson in the first meeting, didn't succeed, and RH had #'s.

Elliott County may not win any tournaments, but they have already won one category. Some of the longest threads in the history of BGP. It wears one out to read all this and then try to figure out the bottom line. Makes scrambled eggs out of the brain. Reminds me of the old analogy: Why do atheists fight so hard against something they say don't exists??

Lion Mania, you do make post reading entertaining and make me laugh out loud. We enjoyed meeting you at the game last night and we still think you should just move on over to Sandy Hook and join the rest of us fanatic fans. I don't understand why some here think Scott Co. is so great.I watched them play in Inez, Ky the same night Elliott Co. played and they had trouble with average at best WV team.

 

I know Phares was sitting on the bench, but I'd be willing to be if they drew EC at that scrimmage EC would have beaten then handily. Everyone who was there that I spoke to, said EC was the most impressive team there.

 

Given Richie Phares was benched due to an injury or something. But, if he had played I'd be willing to bet EC would have given them fit's. I've also watched them play another game (forget who) and they still didn't look that impressive. And that one transfer from Rose Hill (Euton) is big and can shoot decent, but he looks awkward with the basketball in his hands, didn't look like he could handle the ball to well or handle pressure. I think E.C. could very well beat them on a given night.

 

Ummmmmm....could it be the 6-7 D1 recruits they have on their team?

I think Scott County will be very lucky to make it to the Sweet Sixteen.

I dont know if some of you fans ever get out of Salt Lick any but too say Elliot County is the best team in the state is just plain ridiculous! I do agree, they are no doubt one of the top ten teams in the state but definately not number one! I have seen Elliot play this year and they are very good but for instance if Elliot County played a team like Duncanville, TX like Scott County did they would get run out of the gym by 30+ points. I am 100% hoping Elliot County does great this year but I am just stating facts.

 

Remember though Scott Co. is the best ASSEMBLED :ylsuper:team in the state. I do believe Elliott is one of the best teams in the state also. Elliott is all homegrown boys. Its the small school effect and if you dont come from a small school you just dont get it. Thats why we Elliott fans are so proud of our team is because we better than anyone else know how these young men have earned the respect that our county has for them.

The next time I drive through Salt Lick, I'll look for any Elliott Co. fans visiting Bath Co. If you've got five talented players with nice shooting and handling ability on the floor, and who play excellent defense as well, then you've got a very good shot against any team. That includes "nationally" ranked teams which are usually ranked on star quality and not team basketball. Scott Co. has a nice team, very beatable. Tates Creek proved that the other night, a 1-4 Tates Creek team I might add. They took Scott Co. down to the wire, 81-76.

 

While brushing up on your geography, you should work on your basketball facts too.
