Even though I am not in the Mountains, I am in NEKY but I am going along with you on these. Those schools are still more of our part of the state than others.

For those "not in the know", the rallying cry on the Highlands parent/student busses during these playoffs has been "WHO 'YA ROOTIN' FOR?" to which all fans within earshot would yell "HHS"! It's an old cheer used "back in the day". OF COURSE we want ALL NKY teams to come home champions. Feel free to steal the cheer. It's taken on a life of its own...kind of like a secret society password!

I'm rooting for Kentucky's football powerhouse, the "TRINITY ROCKS"

A: Hazard (But I fully expect for Beechwood to win this one easy)

AA: Fort Campbell (Won't be surprised if NCC gets the W)

AAA: Breathitt Co (Will be really surprised if they play with let alone beat Central)

AAAA: Bell Co. (Ok this one should win)

AAAAA: Highlands (See Bell Co, only more one sided)

AAAAAA: Simon Kenton (Not really going to place any money on this bet)

I'm with you on Bell County and Breathitt County but still lean toward Beechwood over Hazard. As for the others, I'll still take Trinity, NCC, and Highlands.

A: Beechwood - Go Tigers!

 

AA: NCC - Win won for Sts. Thomas & Catherine.

 

AAA: I have leanings toward both Central and Breathitt. Not sure yet.

 

AAAA: Bullitt East. Don't have a dog in this one, so I'm rooting for the underdog.

 

AAAAA: Highlands - Well, duh! GO BIRDS!!!

 

AAAAAA: Simon Kenton - Even though I'm probably the biggest (perhaps "only") Trinity fan in NKY, I have to pull for our Pioneers! My sister-in-law is a graduate. But the biggest reason is that we've wanted a 6A championship in NKY for so long; and getting it as part of a four game sweep would be just the greatest thing ever for this area!
