Highlands running back #25 Corey Compton. He saw a lot of playing time this year and with the loss of all the talented RBs, he'll be a big part of the show next season along with Bankamper and Fennell.

He's comin' off of an off-season knee surgery that didn't allow him to play much this year. He saw more play time towards the end of the season as the team doctor allowed him to play more.

 

Not just him being my son, but he's got good size and strength and he's got some quickness to him as well.

 

He's my favorite player in the world and I am proud of him for what he does.

He was listed at 6'1" at 160 lbs. I heard his 40 was at 4.5 sec and I know he is a straight A student.

 

He needs to put on some muscle sounds like but everything else sounds like he is going to be the real deal

Lamar Dawson, Boyle County, LB,TE, and most recently FB/TB. His best position is LB and I know he didn't lead the team in tackles, but he had to be a close second. 6'2", @ 220 lbs and while he isn't the MLB on our team he is an anchor on the defense. Jordan Yeast, Mercer County TB, told Danville Advocate Messenger that Lamar is the best LB he has ever faced. He will be a force over the next two years and I suspect that Bell County will be introduced to Lamar this Friday.

 

This kid has so much potential PurplePride92. He was an absolute stud on this defense. You know, I once heard Chuck Smith came up to him and said, "remember my name". I look forward to seeing this kid play for two more years at Boyle County. :thumb:

Daylen Hall saw much action and made key plays, including running interceptions back for touchdowns and blocking a punt in the Manual game. Jay Hayden scored touchdowns from the HB spot. La'Mont McMurry, although injured much of the year, provides athleticism and speed. Both Ryan Loehnert and Luke Brohm saw time at the quarterback spot. Please provide more names, yet the J.V team at St. X would battle many varsity teams at other schools.

Linebacker for Western Hills - #7. Has decent size (listed at 6'2", 195 lbs - but good frame to add 20-30 lbs) and good instincts. Is a tough and hard-nosed kid. He broke his thumb (1st game) and shattered his forefinger (3rd game), had to have screws and a pin to stablize shattered finger; but did not miss a game. Played entire season with left hand in a cast. Had over 100 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 2 INT and 3 fumble recoveries.

I saw this team first hand this yr when they destroyed HHS in a JV game. This JV team could have beaten any HHS regular season varsity opponent this yr with the exception of Cinti Colerain. They have some big time players. WOW. :thumb:
