January 2, 200917 yr And how did Walton do against these teams? I assume they either won or placed second in the tournament as 6th graders. What was their record last year and what is it this year? Last year Walton did not field a 6th grade competitive team. Mcniel, Moeves & Mcubbin played up on the 7th grade school competitive team. This is the first season (2208-09) for Walton to field a competitive 6th grade team. Last year's 7th grade team's record was approx 16-4. They did win the 6th grade BCI state. Johnson Central was the best team in that tournament.
January 6, 200917 yr Southern 7th gave Wayne Co. their first loss of the season last night. Southern won by 14.
January 6, 200917 yr Author I saw Johnson Central 7th at the Sportsplex this weekend. I don't see anyone beating them this season if they can keep everyone happy. They have Shane Hall who might be the best 7th grader in the state and 2 other kids that can really play as well as about 8-10 more kids that would start on most teams. I sure hope we ( Clinton County) don't get them in the state tourney and we are 19-1.

January 7, 200917 yr Lincoln's 7th beat Meece last night. It was a close game until the middle of the 4th quarter, when Lincoln went ahead for good.
January 7, 200917 yr Lincoln's 7th beat Meece last night. It was a close game until the middle of the 4th quarter, when Lincoln went ahead for good. You must have left early. Meece tied the game and they went into overtime. Lincoln did pull out the victory, but it was a thriller.
January 8, 200917 yr Author Johnson Central has the same point guard as last season. He is solid. It appears that hall is playing the 2 or 3. They are almost too tall to pressure in the back court. They are playing all the time so I think their endurance will be stronger than last season. I think they were a little worn out when we beat them. I sure would hate to get them in the first two rounds.

Did they just get a group of 6th graders from the school together and go down and play?
January 10, 200917 yr Walton did not field a competitive 6th grade team but won the 6th grade BCI state. Did they just get a group of 6th graders from the school together and go down and play? 3 of the 6th graders played up on the 7th grade team. The remaining 6th graders played in an organized 8th region league. The combined the all the 6th grade players plus one 5th grader.
January 10, 200917 yr St. Joe's - Cold Spring 7th grade is a very decent team. They play well and are led by Verst.
January 16, 200917 yr Clinton Co. got a good win last night over Southern (Southwestern). I think they won by 2. Both of these teams have a chance to advance deep into the 7th grade state tournament coming up in a few weeks.
January 16, 200917 yr Author It was a great game with both teams playing pretty well. For Clinton it was an excellent road win overcoming a few close calls that didn't go their way.
January 21, 200917 yr Are there any new updates on what teams will be entering the 7th grade tournament next month in Lexington?
