Let me add that they are capable of beating any of those 5.

Wayne over Meece by 3 @ Somerset.

Meece 7th thought they could just show up and win against Wayne Co. No disrespect to Wayne Co., they had the better team this time. Everything seemed to go their way. Meece couldn't get into a rythem. At one point the foul ratio was 15-2 in favor of Wayne Co. Dishman had 3 fouls by the beginning of the 2nd quarter and had to sit until the second half. Wayne was really good at taking advantage of mental mistakes. At halftime Wayne was up by 11. Meece could not get over that margin. Meece cut it to 1 late in the 4th quarter, but no breaks went their way and they lost by 3. For Wayne Gardner finished with 15 and Perkins had 14. For Meece, Dishman had 21. Gardner is a 6th grader and has to be considered as one of the best 6th graders in the state. He is a stud!!

Southern beat Northern by 10 last night.

Gardner is probably the BEST 6th grader in the state. He is to the 6th grade what Portwood is to the 7th.

So he is 13 going on 14 as a 6th grader?

No, he is 12 years old and can flat out play. Very soft touch and knows his way around the basket.

Thanks :thumb: I look forward to hearing about the youngster.

He is very mature, yet very athletic. Runs and jumps really well. He will be a grade exception in AAU but he is not yet 13. His game is alot like Portwood's. Not as much basketball skill but maybe more athletic, at least a little quicker.

Any info on the Lex Christian tournament this past weekend? I heard Lincoln Co. and Royal Springs were in the finals and Hazard was playing LCA for 3rd place. Anyone know who won? Scores?

Hazard beat LCA 20+.

Don't know the score but heard that Lincoln won the tournament.

I heard it was a 2 point game at halftime, but Lincoln ran away with it in the second half to win by 15-20 over Royal Spring. The information I got said Lincoln had a really good team and the person had also seen Scott County play and felt Lincoln might be better.

Meece beat Lincoln, Wayne beat Lincoln, both @ Lincoln. Meece beat South Laurel tonight by 5-7.

Does anyone know anything about Harrison, Bath, Rowan and Morgan 7th grade teams?

Meece beat McCreary Central easily last night. Tomorrow Meece plays Northern.
