November 23, 200817 yr I was shooting the trophy so I didn't get the full effect until Barnett and Howard took it to midfield. You can see it in the background of my shot, but it was 120 yards away at that point... As soon as I heard "and the students have rushed the field a little prematurely" all I could think was "THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD!":lol:

Did you notice this GT? Or was I mistaken? I saw it too... When they showed it on SportsCenter they froze the picture. It was McCoy. If he would have turned and looked towards the sideline he was nearest he had the sideline. But he never really moved at all and threw it right to Underwood...

November 23, 200817 yr I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's no guarantee that the winner of the Big East goes to the Orange Bowl. It's not like the Big 12,SEC, and ACC, where the conference winners are automatically sent to the Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange Bowls. It is just highly speculated that the Big East champion would be the last selection by the BCS teams, and the Orange Bowl has the last pick this year. However, if they go 11-2, they might not be the last team selected. They could possibly go to the Sugar Bowl to play an SEC opponent rather than an ACC opponent in the Orange Bowl. I think.... Don't forget Utah. They could end up in the Sugar against the SEC champion (especially if it's Florida- unless they make the title game). An Urban Meyer vs. his old school would make for an intriguing (read:$$) matchup.
November 23, 200817 yr I had technical dificulties with my camera tonight, so I got to stand on the field and kinda be a fan for once. I never, EVER thought I'd see Nippert Stadium like that in my life. Just wow... There were LOTS of references to the size and enthusiasm of the crowd during the telecast. Even a mention of the fact that while future marquee games might be played in PBS, they should be played in Nippert.

UC really is on the rise and these past two years are just the beginning of what's to come in the future. I'd say UC could add 10,000 more seats and still fill the Nip. I think playing the games at PBS would really take away from the excitement of the game. There's nothing like playing in front of a sell out crowd.

IF Florida loses to Alabama, I think that the Sugar Bowl will still take them with their first selection to make up for losing the SEC champ. Then they would most definately take Utah for the dollars like you said. But if its Alabama, they might not...

November 23, 200817 yr BK deserves a lot of credit he has done literally everything to get people out to the stadium. I just wish he would come out and dismiss the fact he may leave.
