November 23, 200817 yr Pike once again was very impressive, and his Wrs aren't too bad. I believe UC had seven sacks, and Barwin hit double digits with three on the night. The last play was very interesting but I honestly think the Pitt Qb's knee hit the ground prior to throwing that lovely pass. It's great to see what BK has done for this program, not forgetting what the prior coach did to start the building process. I have to agree with Bob Davie, UC is scheduled to play OU at home, I know they will move it to PBS but Nippert with 35K is a nice cozy environment. Sometimes bigger isn't better. I think I would rather have 35K and packed over 50K and 3/4's capacity.
November 23, 200817 yr :dancingpaWay to go Bearcats!!! Its not a lock yet but playing at Nippert against Syracuse is almost a lock. Nippert needs to have the same hostile environment next week just like tonights and rush the field again because after they beat the "orange" no pun intended they are headed to Hawaii and then Miami. Couldn't ask for any better places to go this time of year.

November 23, 200817 yr I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's no guarantee that the winner of the Big East goes to the Orange Bowl. It's not like the Big 12,SEC, and ACC, where the conference winners are automatically sent to the Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange Bowls. It is just highly speculated that the Big East champion would be the last selection by the BCS teams, and the Orange Bowl has the last pick this year. However, if they go 11-2, they might not be the last team selected. They could possibly go to the Sugar Bowl to play an SEC opponent rather than an ACC opponent in the Orange Bowl. I think....

And for the record, I'll be doing zero celebrating until the BCS bid is offered and accepted. The biggest underlying story of this UC is is the SRs knocking off WVU, UL and Pitt. Something they have not done in their stay at UC. 0-9 going in to this season. 3-0 against Cuse. Can't let up...

Feel bad for the kid that he didn't get to play in what would've undoubtedly been the biggest game of his life. But because his teammates picked him up he might be playing in a BCS game...

I was shooting the trophy so I didn't get the full effect until Barnett and Howard took it to midfield. You can see it in the background of my shot, but it was 120 yards away at that point...
