My state sinned for me, therefore I sinned.

Your country sinned almost fifty million times since 1973. Where is your remorse for that?

My state gave a man the type of death he knew he deserved, and gave a family some closure.

My state sinned for me, therefore I sinned.

And...Is this the first time you have sinned?

My state gave a man the type of death he knew he deserved, and gave a family some closure.

Serious question, NOT meant to be a judgement, but will the priest that told those that voted for Obama (based on his stance on abortion) that they should not receive communion tell all Kentucky residents (whose state actually executed someone, a stance that the Catholic Church is against) that they should not received communion?

My state sinned for me, therefore I sinned.

Not my state, because the Bible teaches me to obey and follow the laws of the land. Therefore the Death Penalty is a part of that law. So they followed the law.

I just pray for the person who disobeyed the laws of the land and hope that he found Christ in his heart.

You have got to be kidding? Slavery was the law as well, jim crow was the law, non-interracial dating was the law. Are you suggesting that just because it is the law that it is okay? That is an easy way to dismiss your personal responsibility.

Herod killed all the babies younger than two was that okay - it was his law.

Ace - go read your Bible. God tells us to obey the laws of the land.

You used a key word WAS the law.

If you want to change the laws go through the process.

My personal responsibility is to protect those who can not protect themselves. He raped and killed childern. Which is against the law of the land. So he got the proper punishment set by his Court system.

Justice served! I committed no sin in this act.

Let some guy break into your home kill your kids and rape your wife and then come and tell me what Laws you will support.:thumb:

There was a whole lot of sinning going on Friday night because there were football teams touching the skin of an unclean animal (pigskin).

Not to mention driving past many farms where two different crops were grown side by side.

Another example of people picking and choosing which laws of the Bible to further their cause.

Great post Coach B.

Marksberry, who listened helplessly to her children's screams as Chapman killed them.

Just a line from what was writen in the Courier Journal about the crime.

But I am sure Mrs. Marksberry will never forget that evening.

Move, if your state sinned, but the rest of the 49 will sin also. We all sin and fall short. Wonder where King Herod is now?

Jesus, in referring to Peter who was defending him, told him "to put away the sword" that his kingdom was not about that type of power.

Jesus broke the 'law' when He healed on the sabbath, and when he had his follower tear the tops of wheat to eat, also on the sabbath.

Jesus also said - "You know that you have been taught, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth: But i tell you not to try to get even with a person who has done something to you. when someone slaps your right cheek, turn and let that person slap your left cheek. If someone sues you foryou shirt, give up your coat as well. If a soldier forces you to carry his packone mile, carre it tw. When people ask you for something, give it to them. When they want to borrow money, lend it to them. . . . I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who ill-treats you. Then you will be acting like the father in heaven . . . If you ove only those people who love you, will god reward you for that? even tax collectors love their friends. If you greet only your friends, what's so gtreat about that. Don't even unbelievers do that. But you must always act like your Fther in heaven. matthew 5 38-48

Which Bible again was I told to read?
