Both play similar styles and rely on the run. I will be very surprised if SK wins.

Both teams played earlier, and Boones D prevailed, so I don't feel it has much to do with the offensive strategy. IMO, both teams are very different teams from that first match-up. I do feel that SK has the most to overcome, but with Boone's feature back not 100%, I believe it puts SK in the game.

Interesting, but would one associate SK not going to school with getting blown out?

Look back the past few years, since 05 atleast, most of SK blow out losses have come after school has started on games when they are off on that Friday..

Most schools around the state are out of school on Friday. Based on this philosophy, all schools that are off who play schools that are in will get blown out? I wonder if St. X & Highlands have school Friday???

And no.. I'm only talking about SK here, so that argument is useless.

I see, and from what I have read simpson has been doin fantastic. I can see SK coming out ontop on this one, Im hoping they will.

Simpson has done fantastic all year. I believe that SK has found themselves at other spots which has equated into the changed team from the first meeting with Boone. A change at QB and much better line play has been more of a key than any changes in Simpson's play. He has been consistent, but early in the season, the line, & D were the inconsistencies.

So SK athletes are different than any other schools? Interesting. I guess we'll just have to see, but IMO it has no more merit for SK than it would any other school. Hmmmm.

You're not getting what I'm saying, look back to 05. Every year since on a day when they haven't had school that Friday it's been a blowout loss for whatever reason.

05- Ryle Blow out can't remember the score, only blow out of regular season

06-Ryle 46- 13. Only blow out of regular season

07- Conner 30-3 or so

08- Boone 42-7 Only blow out of season, well NCC and they didn't have school that day either.. :D

Maybe it's the coaches, lets hope they can change my mind friday..

Which QB will play this Friday? Lawrence looked a little woosy walking of the field against Conner.

im still trying to figure out why people are saying simpson is going to rush for alot of yards? last time i check he had 10 carries for 24 yards against Boone's D, also one of the better backs in the state Hooker from HC only had one net rushing yard against them.

IMO, If Bustle is put back under center, and used like he was against Conner this past Friday, rushing for 100 yds. on misdirections, It could prove to be helpful in putting up points!

As stated a few different times in these posts, SK is a different team from the one that played Boone earlier. The line will be different than the 1st game, count on it:thumb:

Yes, and he was only in for about a quarter and a half and got 102 yards rushing. Coming back from being a TE and Slot on offense to the QB, now thats what I call a player. And I have no doubt that if he goes to QB in the Boone game he can do the same.

After looking at Simon Kenton schedule I don't see any defense like Boones since we played them! I wish it was Friday already. :)

I think you will see more weapons than just Simpson. They have been using alot more since mid-season.

I don't see 2 things happening if both teams play basically error-free football. I don't see SK scoring more than 14. I don't see Boone scoring less than 21. So, the minimum margin I see is 7. If it's a blowout, it will not be a happy night for the Pioneers.

I do not believe anyone is saying anything about the defenses they played after the Boone game, only that these kids have brought their line together and will be able to do a better job blocking and opening holes. This is a task that they understand did not get done very well in the first game. The same goes for SK's defense. This team as a whole has made 125 percent turn around since the last match up. I really feel Boone is in for a wake up call Friday night. Conner came into the game with the same forecast that it would be a reapeat of the regular season and SK showed the a whole different team. Good Luck to both teams. SK get ready ready for the road trip next week also.

Boone had their wake up call in the last 30 seconds vs. Henry Clay. It takes winning a squeaker to advance. I think you are underestimating the Boone defense.
