I was thinking the same thing. Hysterical!

I'm sure that the eight kids that are now homeless are laughing right along with the rest. And who does this woman think she is, trying to buy her own place and piece of land? Shouldn't she just live in subsidized housing and draw a check? What is she thinking, trying to be a responsible adult?

 

Yes, she made poor decisions (pun intended), but that is no reason to enjoy the suffering of her and her family.

 

For the record, I'm not laughing at the plight of the family. And according to the Lexington news, calls have come in from around the nation to assist them which i think is great. I just thought the structure of the story was humorous.

For clarification the Gaunce that Sheriff Dick told it was all up to him was the boyfriend and not the 80 year old man.

I would still like to know what happened to the 13 occupants of the trailer. Like the majority of the posters, I found no humor in the story. Interesting, but not funny!! If anyone knows, where are they staying now?

Ok, this story just keeps getting better. I was up early this morning watching CNN (not WKYT or WLEX - CNN!) and sure enough they pulled this story out. It turns out that the woman has received $7,000 in cash donations from around the nation. Also, a California billionaire saw her story and agreed to buy her a new house. Her reaction - she didn't want to take advantage of the billionaire, so she picked out a "pre-owned" mobile home. Good lady.

I heard an interview with Mr. Dick on the way down to Lexington last week. I almost drove off the side of the road listening to this guy. This inbred is an elected offical in our country WOW!!!! I guess you have to wonder why our country is in such bad shape..:scared::scared:
