Greenup County Football Coach

I would like to see Bruce Hunt back on the GC football staff. Very good motivator and coach when he helped a few years ago.
Bruce is coaching his boy in JFL, I have a feeling he is happier doing that than he would be at the high school.

Just heard Philip Haywood is interested again. Seems he applied several years ago and GC Administration at the time didn't think he was worth the salary he ask for. Nice call:confused:

By the way, Good Luck to the boys in orange tonight and Coaches Fannin, Maynard and Hoof!

CONGRATS NEW GCHS FOOTBALL COACH A.J. JACOBS:dancingpa:dancingpa

There are a number of people from inside the program who want Coach Preston(presently QB coach at Fairview). Know for a fact every kid on the team would play hard on every down for him. He's a good coach, experienced, has the personality to work with gc and the players want him there. The question is would he be interested???

He is very interested, know that for a fact.

I would love to see Coach Preston at GC. Very respected by ALL the players in GC.

Matt and the GCHS site base committee are going to have a lot of very qualified coaches to choose from since they are going to do a search. The word has spread through the KHSAA office and there are several very qualified coaches interested in interviewing for our coaching position that are from disciplined, traditionally winning programs throughout the tri-state and as soon as the state playoffs are over we will be hearing names. Change is coming if we want it! As I have stated in previous posts, we need to give this coach all the tools to succeed, from facilities, staff, to unwavering support from everyone in the community, including the administration, or we are just setting this coach and our program up for continued failure when it comes to winning.

Good luck

Is this true, what happen to Site base and meeting with other applicants?

[/b]

This is a must. If they hire a "yes sir" guy or someone that is not hardcore determined to do the job that he was hired to do then it will be very likely things will not change.

Agree whole heartedly with this post.:fire:
