Site base council met last night and it was agreed upon to do a search for the right candidate for GCHS football program.

I am just an outsider but I believe that is pretty much correct as well. Good luck to GCHS in getting the coach that you want and good luck next season in all of your games. (except for the Raceland game of course ).

Also, jmo but I believe they may better going completely outside the program and the area to search for another coach.

At any rate, whoever it is had better have thick skin and be willing to put some people in their place and tell them that it is his program, that he wants their support but he was hired as head coach and that he will run the football program.

When they get another Coach He will have to win the kids who don't play over Because alot of talent at Greenup doesen't play!!!!!

This is a must. If they hire a "yes sir" guy or someone that is not hardcore determined to do the job that he was hired to do then it will be very likely things will not change.

Everyone just relax, He's coming:cool: In the words of David Bowie----"Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes, Turn and face the strange, Ch-ch Changes.

it's my understanding that the council was told that if Dowdy, Tackett, or Maynard were interesed in coming to GC, that anyone one of them would have an outstanding shot at getting the job, but none of them are interested... The administration is very interested in having a good program and the new coach will have the opportunity to bring some assistants in with him... Sammons was given the same opportunity, but didn't take it....

I read in a previous post that the SBDM council had agreed to do a search, but to read some of Coupon 21's posts.... it sounds like he knows something is going on behind the scenes..... so my question is... what's up Coupon 21? Spill the beans!!!

Hey coupon, sounds like you got the inside scoop, didnt get that diggin thru the garbage did you.

The "garbage man" will be allowed to help recruit good applicants, but he will NOT make the final call.

Only coupon knows!!!!

I know nothing. I just have faith. I have know clue what you guys are talking about with the "Garbage Man". But it sure is fun to make short little comments and watch the conspiracies fly.

Maybe its the Ice Man, or the Grocery Man or the Boogie Man, Oh wait I bet its The Moth Man. Yep GC just annouced the search is over. They just hired The Moth Man.

If you notice, no GCHS players, this needs to change and will with the right person at the helms.

This is a joke, 8 Rowan Co players, 2 Lewis Co players, Both teams GC beat, You guys at Raceland claim the ADI gives you know respect, I think we might have a better case than you guys now.

Greenup is not in the EKC, that is why don't have any All-Conference players.

I would like to see Bruce Hunt back on the GC football staff. Very good motivator and coach when he helped a few years ago.

Ahh...Ram, a voice of wisdom in my stupidity.
