  1. Bench, the backup at Raceland is an average QB at best in a QB friendly system. Rister is a legitimate lower level D1 prospect. Don't take my word for it. Ask any high school coach in the area that have seen both play. Raceland would get an upgrade at QB even over this years QB. No desrespect, just fact not an opinion. You will see. Mason was just in a bad spot as a sophmore. He was behind the best athlete in the 16th region.
  2. I heard Mason Rister's family will be moving to Raceland and he will be enrolling at Raceland, is this true?
  3. I heard Mason Rister's family will be moving to Raceland and he will be enrolling at Raceland, is this true?
  4. Greenup Co. at East Carter game has been cancelled.
  5. The bottom line is...The next coach at GC has got to get this team at the top! He needs to get all the talent in the school, find the type of offence that best suits this team, and work them like crazy in the wieght room and at practice! Do that and GC will be right where they need to be in August!!
  6. Not only is the wieghtlifting class short at GC but, only a hand full of kids even do all the workouts and do them correctly!
  7. As of now, yes Elliott and East are without a doubt favorites. IMO Elliott and East are at their peaks though and i dont think they can or will get much better. Greenup on the other hand has alot of growing in them! Expecially with all the young talent they have on the team and they will grow as the season progresses and come tourny time GC will be up with Elliott and East carter!!
  8. What I'm interested in seeing is what type of offence Greenup will be running next year! Will they stay with the Tony Franklin offence or will they go back to playing power football?
  9. Big daddy. Let me educate you on the facts regarding coach Preston. It is a FACT not opinion Greenup's offensive production was dismal compared to last year. Compare the statistics from KHSAA 2007 to 2008 if you can. It is a FACT he was involved in the offensive side of the ball. The talent from this year to last year did not drop that significantly if at all. Secondly "big daddy" Greenup did not "let" him go. Mr. Baker saw fit not to fill a teaching position with coach Preston. Obviously Mr. Baker wanted to fill the postion with a teacher with more experience. That is not a knock on Coach Preston. Mr. Baker has his own challenges in trying to cover his inadequate leadership at the high school based on their scores. Coach Preston did what any MAN would do. That is, take a teaching position to help support his family. Obviously you pay attention to coach Preston to know what his clothing apparrell is on a daily basis. That is extremely odd to say the least. Big daddy please tell Gary McPeek and Coach McPeek they dont know what they are doing when they hired Coach Preston. You obviously know more about football than these two winning coaches and men. Stick to what you know.
  10. I would love to see Coach Preston at GC. Very respected by ALL the players in GC.
  11. IMO Greenup will be fine this year. They have alot of talent and a excellent coach. The only problem i can see with this GC team would be lack of confidence and inexperience. If nethier is an issue greenup will be the front runner in the 16th!
  12. Coach Sammons in my mind would be the last person to "quit". If you want the truth he probably got tired of all the negativity that surrounds greenup county football, the fans, parents and administration seems like it ran him off. I have the upmost respect for Coach Sammons and all the efforts he's put into the program.
