P90X Progress

Featured Replies

Insanity! It's all cardio and put out by the same company. Any strength training in the program uses your own body weight for resistance. Personally, I prefer Insanity over P90X for this reason. However, as the name of the program suggests, the workouts are absolutely INSANE!

Where can I get that? Will it give the same results, in the same amount of time?

If you're not interested in building a lot of muscle mass and would prefer to instead tone up--which is why I prefer the program--Insanity might be a better option for you. It's a 60 day program versus P90X's 90 day program. You can purchase directly from the company via the link provided:

Additional details about the program are included there as well.

Been doing P90X for about 6 months, don't follow the diet plan at all, just do my best to eat right. I have lost 27 pounds from 230 to 203, 4 sizes down on my belt, 6 pack which I have never had starting to develop and I' m well over 45. I have worked out for years half-hearted, this really works. Doing a workout when I get off this coumpter!

I have, I highly recommend it! :thumb:

Lost 21 lbs in the first month and a half. From 227 to 206.

My wife also has been doing it with me. She hasn't lost as much weight, however she doesn't have much to lose anyways.

I have ordered Insanity! It should be here March 7th. In the mean time, I am starting to run and watch what I eat and drink. That's the hardest part.

Good luck. I have talked to a couple of people that have tried it and they said it was pretty intense.

Ok. Day 1 of Insanity....I did the fit test which has a warm up with it. WOW. I can only imagine how much more intense these will get. I am ready!!!

Yes, day 1 warm ups were rediculious. As I was working through the warm ups I was thinking this isn't too bad, by the time I finished the warmups I was drenched and near exhaustion. Then the real workout started.

That's when I thoght, what did I do to myself.:ohbrother:

Your going to have to let me know what this is like when you make it to month 2.

I am on day 3 and my legs are killing me. I can barely walk....I am assuming I need to push through but will it get better?

I just got my P90X. I'm going to start tomorrow.

Have fun. Hang in there!!!

I thought about trying P90X but there just isn't enough weights in it for me. I like lifting too much. I have starting to incorporate alot of CrossFit into my workouts. You talk about killer.

Oh I have heard about CF. Great results though.
