March 4, 201016 yr Oh I have heard about CF. Great results though. I can definitely see why it works. The problem with it is you can't do alot fo the work outs at a regular gym. There are some exercises that you need more specialized equipment for that most gyms don't have. If someone wanted to do it full out they would have to either buy the equipment and do it at home or join a CrossFit affiliate gym.
March 4, 201016 yr Author There's a CF affiliate gym where I live, but I got some bad blood with an employee their so I can't join right now  but I do a lot of their workouts at my gym, I usually look like a goon doing it to anyone who has no idea what CF is. But if I get this new job I'm trying out for, I'll have to change to the CF gym because I'll need 24 hr access and its the only gym here that has that

But if I get this new job I'm trying out for, I'll have to change to the CF gym because I'll need 24 hr access and its the only gym here that has that I can do any of the cardio specific stuff and most of the olympic lifts but can't do the wall balls, kettlebells, or muscle ups to name a few. It would also be better if they had bumper plates but not a deal breaker. Someone just opened an affiliate in Evansville a few weeks ago. I have been meaning to go by and try it out but just haven't had a chance.
March 4, 201016 yr I am on day 3 and my legs are killing me. I can barely walk....I am assuming I need to push through but will it get better? Your body will get used to it. Just keep grinding it out.
March 5, 201016 yr Your body will get used to it. Just keep grinding it out. When do you think I will start to notice results?
March 5, 201016 yr When do you think I will start to notice results? I started seeing results after the 2 week mark. My wife began seeing results around there too.
March 5, 201016 yr Question for P90Xers. Next week at work I have agreed to bring my P90X Yoga video for everyone to participate in. I will be at the head of the room, but I am concerned it may be too difficult for most people. I guess my question is, how does the P90X Yoga compare to other Yoga workouts? I do not want everyone to get discouraged and never try it again. I will just hammer the point to do your best (and forget the rest ).
March 5, 201016 yr I started seeing results after the 2 week mark. My wife began seeing results around there too. Good to know. I know I feel better even though today is just day 4. I hate it during but after wards I am so refreshed. My calves have been sore for 4 days lol...and yesterday the abs started. At least I know I am doing it right.

Personally I think YogaX is about as basic as Ashtanga Yoga can be. I think your beginners will be fine. If I were you, I would probably just go through the moving asanas (like about the 40 minute mark) and then tell them they can continue or be finished. I usually go to there and then skip to the yoga belly 7 if I'm crunched for time. Rarely do I do the entire hour and a half.
March 5, 201016 yr Also, I ordered Insanity and it should arrive today! I'm really excited and nervous about it. I've done P90X and P90X Plus consistently for almost 2 years now and I think I'm ready for a change. I'm anxious to see what kind of changes Insanity brings to my body after P90X.

By the end of each workout you definitely feel like you have accomplished something. Don't you love those "recovery" workouts? The first time we did that workout my wife was screaming, "This is not recovery!!!".
March 5, 201016 yr I'm starting p90x as soon as I get the product in the mail, will update. My wife and I will be doing it together. The nutrition guide is my biggest concern to follow, any advice?

March 5, 201016 yr I'm starting p90x as soon as I get the product in the mail, will update. My wife and I will be doing it together. The nutrition guide is my biggest concern to follow, any advice? It sucks but it pays off. We studied it thoroughly before beginning, and kept the guide on our kitchen bar for weeks for reference. It will help if the two of you do it together. My husband and I did it together, too, and it made it so much easier. It completely changed the way we eat and look at food. It also has seeped into our kids' lives. We don't make them follow it or anything, but as far as athletic recovery goes, it helps. Especially with my daughter that is the competitive swimmer. Even at 10 years old she is starting to look at food as fuel instead of comfort or boredom relief. She can tell a difference in how her body reacts with different foods versus others, and that is an incredible lesson to learn at a young age, especially for athletes. My biggest advice is, follow the guide. Others will say you don't have to, it's too strict, etc. But my experience is if you want to look like the people on the infomercial, you have to follow the nutrition part. The first week or so is the hardest, then you start to figure it out. If you ever have any specific questions, feel free to PM me at any time. I will be glad to help you out.

Especially the part in bold. That is exactly what food should be but isn't to far too many in this country. I would say no matter what type of workout program you do diet is 70%-80% responsible for the end result. I can workout like a mad man but if I don't eat right I don't see the same results in the mirror.
