With Coach Sammons announcing to his team Friday night after the game that he was resigning Monday, who do you think is right for the job? I am not asking who they want, I want to know who you think can step into that enviroment and truly change things.

You first Doc.

This ought to be fun.

I honestly don't know. It has to be someone who is disciplined and has deaf ears. He has to care about the boys and have their respect but also be the one in charge. More importantly, he will need help as in coaches and a great support group. I truly don't know who wants this challenge. Anyone in the past who has stepped up and tried to make something of the program has been sent packing.

What? You don't like my choice? :DDon't you feel he would have immediate respect, or do you feel kids are too young to even know who he has. He was a great football player, surely he retained some of that football knowledge.

I think Don is happy being retired.

Greenup is one TOUGH place to work.

There are always rumors and speculations about who has been asked or who has expressed interest. If there is a self-confident person who thinks they are good enough and would like to have it on their resume, this is their job. I think that it will not be a permanent job for the one who takes it. They will be a program builder type coach who will be satisfied with getting the Musketeers back on track and turn it over to a highly trusted and 'hand picked' assistant. So, for the people out there who think GCHS is hiring the next Bob Lutz or Ivan McGlone, I feel you are sadly mistaken. Besides the above mentioned reasons, I don't think the person who accepts this job can put up with all the bleacher coaches and dad's who want to throw their input into the equation. Good luck to the man who signs on the dotted line........

Better be someone who is a strong disciplinarian who surrounds himself with good quality assistant coaches, & he must have total control over the program.

Greenup is notorious for too much parental involvement, so I think the administration had better step up and back whoever is hired there to really turn things around. I hear Phillip Fulmer is unemployed.
