November 6, 200817 yr Did Sarah Palin steal your milk money as a child? Are Alaskans mentally deficient in some way that even Alaskan Democrats gave her a 75 percent approval rating after 20 months on the job? If not, why do you feel qualified to call her career as a national political figure over after a single campaign? Large crowds did not gather every where Palin went to see how stupid she was. My patience with the Republican Party has reached its limit. If they nominate another moderate like McCain or Dole, I will join those who resort to casting throw-away protest votes. The same Alaskans that just re-elected Senator Stevens?
November 6, 200817 yr The same Alaskans that just re-elected Senator Stevens? It was shown this week that the campaign was to vote for the seat and not the person. The voters did not want a Democrat to have the seat but rather let Stephens win it, get kicked out and then get two new candidates within 90 days.
November 6, 200817 yr The Republicans screwed up when they picked Palin. Not because she was a bad choice, but because she was so ill prepared. If they had taken the time to teach her what she needed to know, she'd have come out smelling much better. Instead, she only looked foolish. The VP position would have been an excellent place for Sarah to do on the job training. Instead, the RNC may have ruined Palin's political career.

So it was a Brewster's Millions "none of the above" type of vote?
November 6, 200817 yr Didn't this turn out to be extremely close? Maybe a percentage point or two difference? And in an earlier thread, I thought one of our members said that there was no way that Sen. Stevens would win in light of the court preceedings. Maybe those tricky Alaskans are a lot more shrewd than I thought. Get together and BARELY vote him in; that way they get the best of both worlds. The person with the (D) next to his name doesn't get in, then Stevens gets the boot. Although there's still speculation that Stevens will fight the conviction. Sorry, got off track. Palin remains governor until the end of her term, runs for Senate, and supplements her income modeling for Lenscrafters.

November 6, 200817 yr Bobby Jindal governor of Louisiana will be the republican to watch. IMO That is the current conventional wisdom.:thumb:
November 7, 200817 yr If she wants to do anything she needs to brush up on her knowledge of, well, everything. A guy on Fox News reported that sources from the campaign had to explain to her that Africa was a continent and not a country...
November 7, 200817 yr I honestly dont believe a word anyone in the media has to say anymore. I mean we know more about Palins little girl and her babys daddy, then we do about anything of concern with president elect obama... that is just sick! There was no question who was going to win this election and the media was going to make sure of that. For the reason I will not listen to anything they say or try to blow hott air with.

What is it, exactly, that we know about Palin's children that we don't know about Obama?
November 7, 200817 yr Would TTCNN have an in-depth report on it? :fire: TTCNN would be all over it with comprehensive in-depth coverage. Most women agree, in-depth coverage matters.
