November 5, 200817 yr I'm thinking Miss January, 2009 in Playboy. Other than that, nothing else of noteworthiness. That's what I'm hoping for...YEssssssss:thumb:

November 6, 200817 yr She's finished. If she is the best the Republicans have to nominate they may not win another election for 16 years. I agree, unless she spends the next four years at a university double-majoring in political science and economics. She's surely finished at the national level. I'm still not exactly sure how she got there to begin with.
November 6, 200817 yr She's finished. If she is the best the Republicans have to nominate they may not win another election for 16 years. We must have watched different campaigns. Palin was the only candidate other than Obama who drew large crowds to her rally wherevier she went. She has broad appeal among Republicans and the only other potential candidate that is generating similar interest among Republicans right now is Bobby Jindal, who has less experience than Palin. If Palin and Jindal have no future in the party, then the Republican Party has no future. Another Mcain or Dole-like candidate would be devastating.
November 6, 200817 yr Another Mcain or Dole-like candidate would be devastating. Amen, brother! :thumb:

The majority of Americans don't like Palin, they don't believe her to be qualified for the presidency, and a plurality of Republicans believe Jindal and Romney to be the future nominees well ahead of Palin. Palin will walk away from this election with the stigma of a fool for the several times she embarrassed herself on prime time television. But, she reads canned rhetoric well. If she is the Republican nominee in four or eight years they lose, badly.
November 6, 200817 yr I personally don't think Palin was a good running mate for McCain and many who voted against him did so for that reason. Biden killed her in the debate and made her look silly. Obama/Biden was the right choice for future of our country. On the flip side though, Palin being from Alaska and having all of those natural resources there could help her in the future if she decides to use those in her favor when talking about our dependence on foreign oil and resources. I thought she did pretty well in the debate. It was the interview with Katie Kouric she really bombed IMO. Anyways, Id imagine she will be on the next dancing with the stars.

If not, why do you feel qualified to call her career as a national political figure over after a single campaign? Large crowds did not gather every where Palin went to see how stupid she was. My patience with the Republican Party has reached its limit. If they nominate another moderate like McCain or Dole, I will join those who resort to casting throw-away protest votes.
November 6, 200817 yr Republicans are going to have to nominate a conservative. Nominating one that doesn't know which countries are in NAFTA, though, is a large step toward becoming the party of token opposition.

Nominating one that doesn't know which countries are in NAFTA, though, is a large step toward becoming the party of token opposition.I plan to ignore unattributed quotes from moderates on McCain's inept staff when they concern Sarah Palin. If somebody wants to go on the record with their allegations and give Palin an opportunity to respond then I will be glad to listen. Otherwise, I assume somebody is just taking cheap shots - possibly a supporter of one of the other potential 2012 candidates.
November 6, 200817 yr Based on the responses in the "hot or not" thread, she evidently has a future in marketing pinup calandars to the BGP membership. I don't see her as a POTUS or Veep candidate next time around. Should the GOP take back the White House in 2012, maybe a spot as Energy Secretary.

Wondering that myself.
November 6, 200817 yr If she has any desire to be on the national scene again, I think running for Stephens Senate position would be a wise move.
