November 5, 200817 yr What do you think the future holds for Palin? Will she fade away when she has to go back to Alaska? Will she appoint herself senator as someone has suggested? Will she become the new "face" of the GOP? Will she ever run for POTUS?
November 5, 200817 yr Palin is currently among the front runners for the 2012 Republican nomination. She will return to Alaska and serve as governor. I believe that she will also become a fixture on the cable news channels and now that her schedule is not being managed by the McCain handlers, she will make a few appearances on the Sunday talk shows. Palin is very popular among conservatives and she will be a frequent guest on conservative talk radio, assuming that it survives the Fairness Doctrine, just to make sure that she is not forgotten by the Republican base.
November 5, 200817 yr As the governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin could become DOMINANT in the public's eye by championing the energy issue: greater supply, and independence from foriegn sources. If she offers a contrast to the radical environmentalists, she could go far.

She is perfectly positioned to be the leading critic of Democratic legislation that will damage the economy further.

If she offers a contrast to the radical environmentalists, she could go far. Good point. I think the biggest people had with Sarah was that she was not experienced enough. So giving her four more years could only help her.
November 5, 200817 yr Good point. I think the biggest people had with Sarah was that she was not experienced enough. So giving her four more years could only help her. wasn't she the only one with experience? She was the only one of the four who had branch office experience of running an entity.
November 5, 200817 yr Palin is currently among the front runners for the 2012 Republican nomination. If Palin runs for President it would be a very bad decision.

November 5, 200817 yr I personally don't think Palin was a good running mate for McCain and many who voted against him did so for that reason. Biden killed her in the debate and made her look silly. Obama/Biden was the right choice for future of our country. On the flip side though, Palin being from Alaska and having all of those natural resources there could help her in the future if she decides to use those in her favor when talking about our dependence on foreign oil and resources.
November 5, 200817 yr If Palin runs for President it would be a very bad decision. Depends on what she does over the next 4 or more likely 8 years.
November 5, 200817 yr The big knock on her was her lack of experience. I think if you give her another 3-4 years as the governor of Alaska, she will have a great deal more experience to use for a possible republican nomination. I think she, given some more experience, would make an excellent choice. Biden killed her in the debate and made her look silly. As far as Biden making her look silly, don't think we watched the same debate. She held her own against someone with years of experience on the federal level. This process let her get her feet wet and see a campaign on the highest level which could better prepare her for a run in 2012.
November 5, 200817 yr She's finished. If she is the best the Republicans have to nominate they may not win another election for 16 years.

She may have held her own on several issues but overall Biden made her look silly and you could tell who the overall better running mate was for Vice President.
