Does Texas Tech Deserve To Be Ranked Higher The Penn State???

Featured Replies

Yes, the Big Eleven sucks and PSU hasn't played very good out of conference competition.

Simple...YES.

If you honestly think that Kansas at Lawrence is the same as beating Ohio State in the Shoe, then we can agree to disagree.

That's comparing Penn State's best win to Texas Tech's second best win.

Tech's win over a #1 Texas team that had just defeated Oklahoma, Missouri and Oklahoma State (all ranked in the top 11 at the time) in a row is more impressive than State's win over a 7-2 OSU team. Tech's road win at 6-3 Kansas is, at the least, equal to State's win over 5-4 Illinois--and probably better. It doesn't really matter at this point, if Texas Tech loses one of it's tough games PSU will move back in front and if TT wins out they will deserve it with wins over Oklahoma State and Oklahoma anyway--correct? :sssh:

I think it was Mike and Mike that were talking about this and they had a very good point. It really doesn't matter right now. If TT were 3rd and they win out they would jump Penn St any way even if Penn St wins out. If Penn St wins out and TT loses one then Penn St moves to #2.

So what does it matter at this point? So Penn St can brag about being ranked number two, only to have TT jump them later.

I think just as legitimate of a question is, what has Alabama done that is far more impressive than what Texas Tech has done?

Agreed

Only if TT wins this weekend and Bama loses to LSU.But as of now Bama should be the No. 1 team.

Texas Tech 63 Kansas 21

Penn State 13 Ohio State 6

Yes, that Kansas win is much more impressive.

Granted I think Tech is much better than Penn State I'd call those wins a wash, Kansas is a very average team. I would probably take OSU over them as well.

If PSU wins out they should be playing for a NC, regardless of anyone else's results.

TT should be #2 absolutely, no doubt about it. Will they make it through their season undefeated? I dont see it. But should they be ahead of Penn State? Yes, Big 10 is awful

Penn State imo should be at #2. No way should they be penalized for not playing and I believe that is what happened. I really think that all will work out anyway. TTU stll has to play Ok. State and Oklahoma, imo they may lose both.

No way should Texas Tech be ahead of Penn State! Penn State should not be punished for Ohio State's shortcomings the last few years. But it won't matter Texas Tech nor Alabama will win out while I think Penn State will.

Only if TT wins this weekend and Bama loses to LSU.But as of now Bama should be the No. 1 team.

:thumb: Absolutely ....Bama is the #1 team in college football.

I think right now it doesnt matter if Tech is 2 or 3 becuase with the schedule they have left if they win out they will finish #1. If they lose then being number 2 right now then is pretty irrelevant.

If you think Penn St should be #2 because you think they are in fact better then TT then I can't argue that. But if you think Penn St should be #2 simply because that is where they were last week then that's weak in my opinion. I think they have it right because I think TT is a better team then Penn St.

If PSU wins out they should be playing for a NC, regardless of anyone else's results.

So you think between a unbeaten PSU, TT, and Alabama that TT or Alabama should be left out?
